Over the past few months, the team has been working with Wacom’s new Mobile Studio Pro, Autodesk Fusion 360 and ReMake. I have to say we’ve stumbled upon something really cool!
If you’re not familiar with the Mobile Studio Pro, these things pack power. It’s available with a powerful Intel® CPU, NVIDIA® Quadro® GPU. The 16” configuration also includes an Intel® RealSenseTM 3D camera and Artec Studio 11 Ultimate scanning software. While this won’t replace every 3D scanner, it gives you a lot of freedom to capture and create anywhere.
This is exactly what we decided to tackle at Autodesk University 2016. We pulled Grant Holmberg-Baugher and Jamie Scherer from their busy AU class schedules and asked them to take an hour with the Mobile Studio, Fusion 360, and Autodesk ReMake, to design some headphone concepts. Take a look at the following video to see what they came up with:
If you geek out on stuff like this as I do, I highly recommend taking a look at this AU class recording. It covers reality capture and the scanning workflow with ReMake and Fusion 360.
Also, a very special shout-out to Printrbot for printing our model onsite using their new cloud 3D printer. Check it out here.
