The AEC Data Model API enables access to data that is more detailed than anticipated, significantly enhancing possibilities for data verification and data management. In our session, we will present several case studies on data verification using the AEC Data Model APIwith Excel and Power BI, as well as data management using the AEC Data Model API and the Revit API. Additionally, data verification is also possible with the Data Exchange API,and we will briefly explain the differences between the Data Exchange API and the AEC Data Model API.

Autodesk Data Exchange is a new service that facilitates interoperability between Autodesk and non-Autodesk products, helping you to unlock your data and share the right data with the right stakeholders at the right time. The powerful API allows you to access the granular data in exchanges and integrate the Autodesk Data Exchange service into your pipeline and use it as a data exchange stack. In this class, we will briefly look at the client-side workflow of Autodesk Data Exchange, and then we'll look at the tools made available to developers to help them tap into that workflow. The tools made available by the Autodesk Data Exchange team vary based on complexity, allowing you to either just access the granular data in exchanges, or go beyond that and build your own connectors that will allow custom workflows to read and write data into exchange context.
