Heathrow Airport is the fourth-busiest airport in the world, serving more than 80 million passengers annually. To improve every journey for our passengers, we need to constantly maintain and produce new assets and related digital asset information. Heathrow's goal is to create a digital ecosystem to harness the value of the data throughout the lifecycle of our assets and become a data-driven organization. We will share how to achieve digital change in a large functioning airport by harmonizing the challenges, technology, people, and processes to attain the expected outcomes and benefits. We'll show how digital transformation and our digitalization approach is minimizing rework, making delivery of our designs safer and faster. Our digital road map will reveal how to use a common data environment (CDE) supported by advanced technology, standards, and a solid training framework. - NSNigel StroudNigel has worked for 33 years in the construction industry, Implementing Digital Asset Information strategies and evangelising in efficient data workflows. His focus is always on a single source of data, retaining value and providing decision making capabilities for a diverse customer base. As a practitioner, he has adopted a 'keep it real' approach enabling usable and sustainable solutions to be adopted. His manufacturing and assembly background have utilised his analytical skills to develop and implement time saving processes. He was privileged to have worked for the duration of Heathrow's Terminal 5 and Terminal 2 programmes, setting up and on-going management of the Common Data Environment and digital deliverable processes. He is currently working on implementing a companywide digital asset information change strategy.
