- STSimon TapprichMy name is Simon Tapprich and I have worked in the manufacturing industry for the past 10 years. The first 5 years of my experience, I worked as a CAD Drafter/Designer for an over-the-road truck trailer suspension manufacturer (Hutchens Industries). During my time at Hutchens, I obtained a great knowledge of the sheet metal world and was involved in the Autodesk evolution of technology. This evolution consisted of AutoCAD Mechanical (2D) then we moved to Inventor (3D) and next implemented Vault as our Data Management system. In 2008, I made a move to D3 Technologies as a Solution Consultant. At D3, we tend to where a few hats as one day I could be having a business discussion on how to improve Engineering efficiencies and the next day I could be teaching an Inventor or Vault class. Either way, I love it!!
