Description

In this class, we’ll discuss how our company moved from a system that relied on email to collect and store vendor ECs to a system in Fusion Lifecycle software that stores attachments as well as workflows and approvals. Relying on emails was both inefficient and prone to losing documents. This did not align well with our quality process. We’ll detail the requirements and how we were able to easily clone our current change-management workspace with minor modifications in order to quickly meet the demands of our business. A big component of the quick implementation was the ability to clone what we had and make changes. Cloning let us not only implement in a matter of a few months instead of a year or more, but we were also able to use the familiarity that users have with the original workspace to supply a quick turnaround on training.

Key Learnings

  • Learn about a formalized ECO approval and hand-off process
  • Learn about long-term tracking and storage of vendor ECOs
  • Learn about the single source of information
  • Learn about the linked process between vendor ECO and in-house ECO
