국토부의 건설산업 전면 BIM 도입 추진 및 스마트건설, 건설자동화 등 건설 산업의 디지털 전환 정책으로 BIM기반 설계는 이미 필수가 되었습니다. BIM기반 설계에서는 3D 모델링을 기반으로 정보를 생성하고 공유하기 때문에 3D 모델링 능력이 우선적으로 요구됩니다. 그러나 최근 기존 BIM 설계도구들의 기능 향상에도 불구하고, 많은 설계사들은 3D 모델링에 대한 낮은 업무 생산성 때문에 어려움을 겪고 있습니다. 이러한 이유는 설계단계에서 빈번하게 발생하는 설계변경과 최적의 설계안을 도출하기 위해서 여전히 반복적이고 수동적인 방법으로 3D 모델을 생성하고 수정하고 있기 때문입니다. 일반적으로 3D 모델링 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법으로는 양질의 BIM 라이브러리를 확보하고, 파라메트릭 모델링을 활용한 설계 자동화 기술을 개발하는 것입니다. 이를 위해 본 발표에서는 Revit과 Dynamo를 활용하여 실무적으로 활용도가 높은 파라메트릭기반의 BIM 라이브러리 개발 사례와 이러한 BIM 라이브러리들을 활용하여 BIM 설계를 일부 자동화할 수 있는 방안을 소개하고자 합니다. 대표적인 사례는 항만분야에서 많이 사용되고 있는 케이슨(Caisson)을 Revit의 Dynamo와 Excel VBA를 활용하여 자동으로 3D 모델을 생성할 수 있는 파라메트리릭기반의 BIM 라이브러리입니다. 두 번째 사례는 항만 설계에서 많이 사용되는 다양한 블록을 자동으로 배열할 수 있게 Revit의 Dynamo를 활용하여 개발한 기술콘텐츠입니다. 또한, 추가적으로 기존 Revit의 기능을 보완하여 실무자들의 BIM 설계 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있는 다양한 기술콘텐츠 개발 사례도 소개하겠습니다.
