In the past 2 years we've seen an explosion of tools and apps become available that enable us to work from virtually anywhere. Autodesk is a key player in this trend with the introduction of Autodesk® 360 cloud-based products and services and such apps as BIM 360 and the AutoCAD® 360 web and mobile app. Cloud computing and storage is now widely available and cheap through several vendors including Autodesk. Smartphones are standard and tablets are starting to become commonplace in the workforce. But have you been able to effectively use these tools to your advantage? Most businesses are experimenting with ways to productively use these tools, but are falling far short of being effective. In this class, we discuss ways that our businesses have deployed tools, apps, and access to their files. Some key information and great ideas are shared to help you understand the tools that are available and find ways to take full advantage of them.

  • Greg Hale
    Greg has been executing projects in the AECO industry for the last 20 years with a background in construction management, structural engineering, BIM management and technology consulting. In 2014, Greg co-founded Hale Technology in Practice (Hale TiP) and now manages a strong team of technologists. Specializing in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, 3D laser scanning, photogrammetry and mobile technology, he provides training, strategic planning, 3D building documentation services and best practice solutions to clients across the US. Greg has spoken at several professional events including Autodesk University, SPAR 3D, BILT, USIBD, Geoweek and New York State Geocon. He has taught Revit and Design Technology to students at the Rochester Institute of Technology for 5 years. In addition, Greg is the founder and group manager of the regional AEC Technology User Group
