The aim of this roundtable is to gather individuals who are excited about how the future of making things is shaping the building and construction industry. We will look at how the industry has progressed from an age of 2D flatland data production, to the more advanced age of optimization of 3D digital data, to the present-day era of interoperability and collaboration in a new age of connection. We will focus on how we conceptualize, share information, collaborate, construct, and deliver smart buildings that can be analyzed, rated on performance, monitored, and maintained. The roundtable will look at how the present and future Autodesk, Inc., cloud technology—including Forge Platform—is set to radically change and revolutionize this process by making the transition from conceptual Building Information Modeling (BIM) to constructional BIM as smooth and seamless as possible. We will focus on how to optimally connect the digital data around designing, constructing, and managing buildings with reduced risk and improved outcomes. This session features BIM 360 Docs and Forge.

    Ajit Menon is an Autodesk, Inc., Designated Specialist assisting Autodesk enterprise priority support customers in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) fields. He has over 24 years’ experience working with large multidisciplinary companies across Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom (which includes working as an Associate at Foster + Partners, London, on large-scale projects, with special emphasis on airports). Ajit’s AEC industry experience ranges from project management and coordination to Building Information Modeling (BIM) management and IT infrastructure solutions, in the delivery of large-scale collaboration projects. In his current role, Ajit is dedicated to assisting customers in the application of the latest trending technologies and innovation in the construction arena, with a focus on Autodesk’s BIM and Cloud Technology Solutions.
