Description
With an uncertain economic environment, the San Diego-Imperial region needed a way to connect with employers to better understand their workforce needs. The strategies are 1) partner with the private sector to obtain a large number of industry contacts, 2) use labor market research as the “ice breaker” to get employers to respond to trends and confirm necessary certifications and skills, and 3) “flip” regional advisory members over to the colleges for work-based learning opportunities and jobs.
