In this hands-on Autodesk PLM 360 software scripting lab, you learn how to navigate the Autodesk PLM 360 scripting application programming interface (API), the editor, and the event management system. You learn how to create, manage, and navigate condition, validation, action, and library scripts. We explore several scripting solutions that come in Autodesk PLM 360 standard tenants and modify them to meet new requirements. Additionally, we create new scripts to solve new business requirements. This class includes some presentation; however, you mostly do hands-on editing and creating and invoking Autodesk PLM 360 scripts. Attendees should have a working knowledge of server-side JavaScript. Autodesk PLM 360 knowledge is also helpful.

- JSJared SundJared Sund is with Autodesk, Inc., as an Autodesk PLM 360 software product manager based in the Lake Oswego, Oregon, office. Jared's main focus is on areas within Autodesk PLM 360 software, including the scripting engine, REST API, enterprise integrations, and administration/configuration, along with other areas of the tool. In addition to managing aspects of the Autodesk PLM 360 product, Jared is also called upon for his technical knowledge in developing different customer solutions. Jared came to Autodesk in 2011 after spending over 10 years supporting and implementing CAD, product lifecycle management (PLM), product data management (PDM), CAM, and analytical engineering tools for companies that include Xerox Corporation Ltd., L-3 Communications Holdings, The Raytheon Company, and Tektronix, Inc. Jared also holds a BS in computer science from Portland State University.
Brian SchanenBrian is responsible for building and managing the learning content operations plan for corporate meetings and events (Autodesk University, One Team conferences) including in-person and online content strategy. He works across teams to create and manage processes and protocols. This includes coordination, execution, and support of divisional teams, including monitoring scope, relationships, and deliverables across stakeholders.
