Denver International Airport (DEN) has been capitalizing on the value of the BIM 360 platform for 8 years. Now DEN is deploying the latest tools on the BIM 360 platform on more than $2 billion worth of capital improvement projects, for every purpose from production, coordination, quality assurance, and review in design, to inspections, asset data capture, and quality assurance and quality control in construction, to transitioning to operations at handover. BIM 360 Design Collaboration, BIM 360 Glue software, Navisworks software, BIM 360 Model Coordination, BIM 360 Docs software, BIM 360 Insight software, and BIM 360 Field Management have all provided value to DEN. With the latest BIM tools, it is becoming increasingly clear that leadership in BIM adoption must begin with the owner as the ultimate customer for all facility data.

- BDBrendan DillonBrendan Dillon is the Manager of the Digital Facilities & Infrastructure Program for Denver International Airport. DEN is the sixth busiest airport in the United States and has developed a comprehensive BIM and Asset Management plan unsurpassed by any airport in the country. DEN’s DFI program manages over 120 projects at a time with a net value in excess of $2 billion. Prior to joining DEN, he had managed over $1B in BIM projects, including as the BIM standards coordinator for the design team on Denver International Airport’s South Terminal Redevelopment Project. Brendan is also the founder of the annual Airport Information Integration and Innovation (AI3) forum and is the founder of Red5ive Consulting, specializing in BIM deployment and integration for airports. Along with managing DEN’s Digital Facilities & Infrastructure program, Brendan still enjoys getting into the weeds with Revit, writing scripts in Dynamo and generally getting his hands dirty.
Emmy ThammasineEmmy Thammasine is a Digital Facilities & Infrastructure Manager for the Special Projects Division at Denver International Airport (DEN). With over 25 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry, Emmy incorporates and manages all aspects of BIM and Asset Management on DEN’s Great Hall Project, a significant redevelopment of the airport's main terminal. Emmy is a highly skilled BIM professional with a deep understanding of asset management and provides mentorship & training to colleagues, consultants, and anyone interested in BIM. Proficient with Revit, BIM360, Dynamo, Python, SQL, and IBM Maximo, Emmy is also an active BIM community member and passionate about using BIM to improve the design and construction process. Since graduating from the University of Colorado in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design, Emmy has worked with Gensler, Rottet Studio, AECOM, and CannonDesign (formerly GKK Works) prior to joining DEN in 2014.
