With the advent of machine learning and advances of technology adoption in the construction industry, the bar is moving higher for general contractors; as a general contractor, you must make sure you stay abreast of recent advances and are well positioned to capitalize on data for managing risk. In this class, using a case study, we will go over the following: how the next-generation BIM 360 platform is designed to create a single source of truth for the lifecycle of projects and a storage for all data in one place where a general contractor can use different solutions in a connected manner; and how Autodesk is going to take it a step further and by Project IQ, make the platform the source of intelligence through the project.Regional quality director from Swinerton, Project manager from Layton, and Technical Deployment Specialist from Bam will then talk from their perspectives about their experience on adoption of BIM 360 to capitalize on data to manage risk and make decisions, and how they feel the platform is transforming their day-to-day job and productivity.

- CHChristina HartsuikerChristina has been actively working in the general contractor world since 1998. She began her career in construction in the field, first as a bridge decking Carpenter (1993), and on to Field Engineer and Assistant Superintendent. Her Project Manager roles were spread equally in large high-rise/large industrial projects and in mid-range tenant improvement projects. Christina’s background is diverse, well rounded, and provides her with in-depth insight into the quality control process. As Regional Quality Director, Christina partners with her co-director to secure the corporate company quality processes, while also directly overseeing 7 or their division's quality control managers and their project’s quality control plans and team implementation throughout the three phases of construction. She is the Quality department advocate with Autodesk 360 Field, Swinerton's chosen quality management tool, and leads the corporate template management, as well as company user network and support.
Simon TritschlerSimon is the Principle Digital Support Specialist for BAM UK & Ireland with responsability for the deployment of Autodesk Construction Cloud and support for project applications. A Land Surveyor by profession, during his 25+ years in the construction industry he has worked as a consultant, trainer and team manager on projects across the EU and Middle East. While responsible for the sucessful deployment and adoption of ACC Build into the UK&I, he is also a key advocate and speaker on the adoption of digital technologies and Lean culture including a big stage presentation at AU2019. Simon has a successful track record for building high performance agile teams that operate in high stress environments and deliver world class results.
