William Proctor has over forty (40) years of hands-on experience working within a variety of industries. This experience, coupled with his technical skills, gives him a unique ability to effectively help clients improve their existing operations and design new, sustainable systems.
He has held several leadership positions within the manufacturing, retail and engineering consulting industries. Leadership positions include Principle/Partner of three engineering consulting firms, Industrial Engineering and Purchasing Manager for OfficeMax Corporation, and Department Manager/Technology Leader for two, large architectural/engineering firms in Ohio. In addition to these positions, Bill has also provided training in areas such as "Lean" philosophies, Simulation Modeling, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, Problem Solving, and Effective Communications.
During his career, Bill has provided consulting services to over 100 companies in the plastics, chemicals, distribution, food, fast-food, retail, media, automotive, furniture, electronics, building supplies, pharmaceuticals, metals, and construction industries. Some past clients have included General Motors, Eaton, ConAgra, Harley Davidson, United Technologies, American Red Cross, Miller Brewing, Abbott Nutrition, GOJO, Bob Evans, Dow Corning, Pilkington, PACCAR, Owens-Corning, Lincoln Electric, ULINE, Case New Holland, Whirlpool, and Sherwin-Williams.
Bill Proctor has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University (1986) and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development and Analysis from the Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, Ohio (2005). In addition, he is a certified NIST trainer in the areas of general Lean Manufacturing strategy and Value-Stream Mapping techniques. Bill is registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio and received formal training in Six-Sigma (Green Belt), project management (PMP) and simulation modeling.
