Instead of describing the possible decisions that need to be made to successfully implement OAuth 2.0, this lecture will explain most of the appropriate decisions to make for most implementations. This lecture is an attempt to explain OAuth 2.0 in a simplified format to help developers and service providers implement the protocol. Attendees will also discover how they can use other people's OAuth servers instead of implementing their own.

The Reality Capture Group at Autodesk, Inc., is working on new ways to use laser scans or photos through the ReCap software technology to acquire, manipulate, and analyze real-world data. This class will focus on how to programmatically access the ReCap software web API (application programming interface) from a Microsoft .NET desktop application, and also how to access it from Android and iOS mobile apps. We will start with a quick overview of basic photogrammetry concepts and image parameters. We will follow with a brief introduction to REST-based web services, and we will explore how to authenticate with the Autodesk server using the OAuth protocol. We will then expose in detail the capabilities of the ReCap software web API and show you how to define a photo scene and create a dense 3D mesh from multiple pictures. We will also introduce the most effective practices to access and work with the API through examples in .NET, Android, and iOS apps.

In this class, we talk about and demonstrate Android libraries for 2D and 3D graphics programming. We demonstrate the use of native classes that the Android SDK provides for graphics programming including the Canvas, SurfaceView and Drawable (for 2D graphics) classes and their subclasses. For 3D programming, we introduce and demonstrate the use of OpenGL library implementation for Android (called OpenGL ES). Finally, we demonstrate a browser-based graphics application that uses the WebGL technology to display 2D and 3D graphics on a browser running in an Android device. This class requires some familiarity with the Android Java API and use of at least one IDE like Eclipse for Android programming.
