Curtain Walls in Revit software represent a special category that can be used in many diverse ways, and Revit 2025 has added new important features that improve this complex and flexible category even further. In this session, we will learn techniques and best practices for building our comprehensive, robust, and highly detailed curtain wall types of various common assemblies, appropriate for both the design construction documentation as well as manufacturer shop-drawing production. We’ll review how to build out not just traditional glazed assemblies, but also commercial insulated metal panel systems, flexible corrugated panel systems, and standing seam panel systems. For each of these assemblies, participants will understand how to create an entire library of construction-ready, manufacturer-based components for fast, efficient modeling—complete with automated Level of Detail (LOD)—and get high-quality detailing almost for free.

Adapteo is a pan-European company within the modular space industry. We provide Space as a Service (SaaS) to public and private customers. With our 20+ module series designed for specific purposes and building regulations, along with our fleet’s age, we have a product management complexity like no other. We've been working on implementing BIM practices using Revit software and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Due to continuous reuse of our modules, our current fleet that we need to keep track of is 30+ years old. We've designed a solution wherein we keep our module libraries in Revit files stored in Autodesk Construction Cloud, coupled with a process that lets us design new projects in minutes. Together with our accessories in Content Catalog, we manage a large data set of 3D objects connected to our ERP. Almost everything we design in Revit is known, and thus the output from the design phase is directly actionable data to our operations. Our vision is to lifecycle each of our approximately 60,000 modules as individual Revit files—in other words, Digital Prototypings.

We’ll spotlight SmartRoughing, the next-generation roughing toolpath initially launched in partnership with Kennametal. Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a programming environment that allows you to automate tasks using the Visual Basic programming language. This hands-on lab explores how to access and use the VBA integrated development environment (VBAIDE) and work with the AutoCAD object model. You learn to work with data, manipulate AutoCAD software objects, get input from a user, store values, work with basic conditionals, and other programming concepts. This is a beginner-level class for VBA programming and is not something you want to take if you already have experience with VBA programming.
