ELAD LEBOVITCH: So good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for joining. Hey there. My name is Elad Lebovitch. And I run the AutoCAD 360 team in Tel Aviv. And I'm here with [? Eric ?] Mitelman. I call him [? Eric ?] because everybody calls him [? Eric ?] so feel free to call him Eduard or [? Eric. ?] Everything works for him. And today we were really excited to show some of the stuff that we've been working on with AutoCAD 360. And then without further ado, I want to share this picture.

Now, when I look at this picture, and that's like the beach. It's vacation. It's actually a picture I took about a year ago in my honeymoon in Hawaii. And I love it for two reasons. The first reason is that when I look at it, I see vacation, it's time. Everybody here on this picture have time to do whatever they want.

And the second thing that I see in this picture is nature. We have trees. We have the ocean. We have everything. And why am I telling this? What is this related to AutoCAD 360 how? It's actually on my desktop in the office back in Tel Aviv. And when we're working on AutoCAD 360, we keep these exact two things in mind, time and nature.

Why time? Because by using AutoCAD 360 properly and correctly, the way we envision using AutoCAD on mobile, we believe that you can save a whole lot of time for your projects, for being more productive, and just getting more stuff done. And by using mobile, you actually help nature because you don't have to print all those pages and all the things that we're doing when we're working on CAD drawings.

So just to understand how much progress there was done in the world of drawing, I want to take you through this brief history look. So we can all imagine this caveman doing the first progress in drawing. Instead of just explaining an idea, he is drawing it, like, physically, very hard, but his working and getting something done there on that wall. Not sure if that's the best architecture or drawing that you can think of, but it's definitely a start of a drawing, right.

But think of the challenges that he had. Well, if you wanted to share it with a fellow caveman, well, I don't think it would actually be able to take this cave and bring it to somewhere else, right. So we have paper just for that. And paper is amazing. It's such an amazing technology versus caves.

But still, there are some challenges here. Like paper, I can give it to someone else. I can do copies of the paper, which is awesome. But what if there are changes? And what if I want to send someone a copy somewhere across the globe? That can be more difficult, right?

And that's where AutoDesk comes in with the best drawing software in the world. It's AutoCAD on desktop. And it's amazing. And that even today, when we are working with customers and see how customers work on AutoCAD on desktop, I'm amazed by how fast and how accurate drawings can become, and how our customers are doing some keyboard shortcuts, using the command line, and doing amazing things. And it's powerful. And it's fast.

But, you know what, it's not enough. Because our work doesn't end when we're just at the office, right. We leave the office. We share drawings with people. We need to work with other people on these drawings and get stuff done. We're not building buildings in the office.

And this is what we're dealing with when we're working on AutoCAD 360. AutoCAD 360, in our life, is all about the time killing cycle. This is something that we coined. And let me just walk you through it. We keep dealing with that time killing cycle that hopefully everybody here can relate to.

Think about your work day when you're working on AutoCAD on desktop. And you're doing edits. And you're adding layers. And you're adding shapes and working on them. But then comes that point where someone else needs to actually build that chair, or they building, or do anything there.

And then what would you do? You'd print it out, probably, or even send the file. You print it. You spend time just printing and getting it done exactly the way you like it. And then you go out to the site or bring it to someone else who goes to the site.

And, well, things are not exactly in the drawing. They're not exactly like they are on site. We need to make some changes there. So you take that red pen, that red marker. You start marking up things. Oh, this wall shouldn't be here. That's not exactly as built, and so on and so forth.

And after we've done all of that, we've realized all these changes, the next thing, you go back to the office and implement these changes back to your drawing. You're essentially doing the same work that you've just done on site. And that's what we refer to in AutoCAD 360 as the time killing cycle. And this is the main thing that we're dealing with when we're building our software.

So there it is. AutoCAD 360 is on all the platforms. It's on mobile, iOS, Android, Windows. And it's really AutoCAD on the go. Whatever your AutoCAD needs are, AutoCAD 360 is there for you to improve the productivity, to make more of your time. And when we're saying about, when we're talking about customers who use it, well, it's been there for six years now. We have over 24 million customers. A lot of them are using the product and actually saving time.

So it's not just me. I mean, I'm biased. I'm working on AutoCAD 360 day in, day out. I think it's wonderful. But our customers love it as well. We get great ratings on the app store. We get reviews saying, I even remember this review of one person saying, he saved a quarter of a million dollars by making a modification on the field.

And that's exactly what we are here for. And this is why this session is about today, about teaching that best use cases that we see, where customers are able to save time, money, and go to that vacation in Hawaii or just do another project by using AutoCAD 360 the way we envision it.

So just by taking the first step and signing into this class and being here is really good for productivity, in general. And by the end of this session, we'll show a couple of live demos. We'll see how we can add a drawings, view drawings. We don't have to print them anymore. It can just be on the tablet. And then we'll also be able to share drawings with colleagues, and actually just get more stuff done.

And we'll have a Q&A session at the end. So if you have any questions, please note them down. We'll have enough time to answer everything. And that's it for now. [? Eric ?] will now show us, he's the product manager, right. But it's not only his product management experience that he's going to present, but his actual experience with AutoCAD 360.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Thanks a lot. Hi everybody, nice to see you all. So my name is [? Eric, ?] and as Elad mentioned, I'm the Head of Products for AutoCAD 360. So we build it day in, day out. And we hope that you will like the outcome. But today, I would really love to share something personal with you, a personal story. The images you will see here behind me are inspirational only. But the story is true and it's really happened.

So my wife, Paulina, this is not her. Yeah, I think if she would be here, she would killed me. So don't tell her. Anyway, she loves to do modifications to our apartment. That's like the thing she loves to do. She comes up with new ideas to change things. And every time I come up home and she tells me, we need to change this. Now this is actually a good thing because I work in AutoDesk, so I deal with drawings at work everyday. So it's actually a good thing there somebody else at home to take care of the things.

So we have a friend, he's actually in architecture. And he wanted to suggest us a new kitchen, OK, because this is what my wife wanted. And this friend of ours, his name is Dave. And he's actually now kind of a roommate, based on the frequency that he comes to our place, right.

So this time, he came over and while we were discussing the changes, I asked him, hey Dave, did you hear about AutoCAD 360? And he was like, yeah, I heard something. It's like, maybe AutoCAD on mobile or something? But I'm not sure I really want to use it. And I was like, why? And he said, I'm not sure how can you port AutoCAD to mobile. I'm really not confident about the thing.

And I said, hey, just do me a favor, please, when you work on this project of ours, install the app. Don't forget to connect through a Dropbox account to it. And just give it a try, just between the two of us. And just when you come to us next time, just give me feedback, because, hey, it's a user. And we as product managers, we love to talk to users all the time.

So the next time he came in, and the first thing he said was like, wow, man, you can't believe what this up can do. Which is funny, because I actually can believe because I'm building it, right? And he was really excited. And the really cool thing that I mentioned, and it's not a hyperbole, when he pulled his tablet, his iPad from his bag, I actually saw his posture. He was like, he was feeling important. He was feeling cool about himself being an architect. And instead of bringing a huge role of blueprints, he just pulled his new, cool gadget.

OK, so he just pulled it. He opened his Dropbox account. He pulled our drawing on us, for us. And he and my wife were actually working on it together. And this is something that was really important for me to see, because previously there was this huge information gap between the architect and the client. And he as a client, I always feel like I'm not sure what is just the architects domain. He does all the markups. This made it suddenly very accessible.

Paulina and him were touching it. They were playing it. They were zooming in. They were zooming out. They were adding layers. They were changing things on the go. She felt part of the process. And this is really something that we're striving for, to bring customers and architects together, because all of us use tablets in our daily life. So this makes it a bit more familiar. And you don't feel as frightened and as scared, as a client, to look at what the architect does.

Now, all of this happened pretty quickly. I mean, usually it took us a tedious one hour, or maybe one hour and a half sessions while he was explaining and marking up. And here, and my wife, she's a very demanding client, like, that's the client really wants. She exactly knows what she wants. And unless you give it to her, like nothing.

So this actually allowed them to work on it a lot in a quick, very precise, very direct way. And then it replaced all the napkins, and papers, and walls we used previously for sketching purposes. Because usually you just, hey, I want to move this wall here. I want we have the table there. And it's like sketching. And it never gives you the real value and the real understanding of what will be the outcome. Now this is where AutoCAD 360 really helped Dave to showcase his ideas, his vision of our new kitchen to us.

But they say a picture is worth a thousand words. I'm not sure what's the exchange rate for a live demo, but we will still try. So Elad, why won't you take Dave's part for the session.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure thing. All right, so let me fire up [? Eric's ?] apartment kitchen. This is a sample drawing, but that's really close to what we're trying to make the point here.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Cool, so let's just start rolling. We wanted to move the sink from the island to close to the stove. So let's try to do that.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: So you mean this sink, right?

EDUARD MITELMAN: Absolutely, yeah.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: So by tapping on the sink, it's a block. I immediately have the move knob right there in the center. And I can just drag it very easily. You want it on the top, or on the bottom, [? Eric ?]

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yeah, I think on the top will do.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure, just put it here. And obviously I need to rotate it. There is a rotating knob. Easily I'm just dragging it over. It snaps to 90 degrees. How's that look?

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yeah, that's about right. Now the other thing we wanted is that for the bathroom counter to be a bit shorter, because it looks too long to us.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: So, you mean this counter, right? Right, so immediately when I tap a line, I'm in edit vertex mode. So it's very easy for me to drag this knob right here. And I can just set the line length to whatever I want. So, where do you want it, [? Eric ?]

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yeah, let's put it right in the middle of the island.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure. All right, let me fix up the rest of the counter right here. Again, just dragging and dropping it just like that, like a PowerPoint slide. It's very easy to manipulate.

EDUARD MITELMAN: That was fast, right. Now I see that there's a lot of free space now left here. So why won't the fridges to the bottom?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure, again it's the same deal. But you have two fridges in the kitchen? Does that, do you need two fridges there?

EDUARD MITELMAN: Actually, come to think of it, Yeah, I think one will be enough.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure, yeah, that makes sense. So by selecting a block, I have this bottom tool bar, as you can see. And this button right here is the Delete button. And I can just hit the Delete and it's gone. And if I've made a mistake, I will also have the Undo and Redo buttons at the top. So I can undo it just there, or redo it easy as that. Let me drag that refrigerator and rotate it. Makes sense here?

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yep, that's good. Now there's a lot of space left there. Can we see the measure of it, how long is it?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure, so for AutoCAD 360 we have a lot of measurement tools. We can measure distance, area, radius, anything that you can imagine. And my favorite tool is actually the quick measure. It's very simple to use. And wherever I put my finger, it just measures to the nearest objects. So and right now, I can see easily the dimensions here. I can look around here or here. It doesn't matter. So how's that? That's a lot of space there added.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yeah actually, Paulina and I, we really like to watch TV when both of us work in the kitchen. So why won't we try to have the TV cabinets here?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: I love watching TV. And if we can do it in the kitchen, that's even better. So I have this block palette here in AutoCAD 360. It's over here, kind of hidden at the bottom, at the top right. When I hit this button here, I have a couple of palettes. The first one is the blocks palette. And I can actually add any block that already exists in the drawing. So let's look for a TV cabinet, right. I'm moving and there it is, the TV [? cabinet. ?] And you probably guessed it, it's only about just dragging and dropping it. I'll put it here, rotate it, and here we go.

EDUARD MITELMAN: This is perfect, thanks. I really hope Paulina will like our new kitchen.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Hopefully, all right. So if I were the person who actually works on this drawing, and I would take all of the actions that we actually need to do to get this work done, whether it's on site, whether I'm sitting in the office with another colleague of mine, making the changes on site or during that meeting has a lot of impact. And let's see the steps that I would have had to take if I would work with paper.

So just bringing a drawing to site, that means that I have to print the drawing. And I've heard customers say that they spend about two hours a week on printing, printing in different layout, different viewpoints. They have to set everything right and it takes a while. And connecting to storage on AutoCAD 360 is really fast, takes tops five minutes, tops. And you only do it once. Once you've connected to either A 360, or Dropbox, or Google Drive, you only do it once. And all of your drawings are available. So that's one thing.

Next we have to do the changes on site. So we know that working on paper is usually faster. Like when you're working on paper, you got that red marker and you're doing these changes, it will probably take you less time than it took me moving the lines. And you know what, I accept it. Our work for AutoCAD 360 is to reduce that gap as much as we can. And things like iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil actually helps us to reduce it to a minimum. And this is our focus right there.

But the big, the huge time saver is actually at the end of the process, because once you've made those red lines on those drawings, you have to sync it back to the original drawing at your office, in the desktop. And you're doing that same work again.

For me, when I finished my meeting with [? Eric ?] or Paulina, that's it. My work here is done. The drawing is updated. There are no misunderstandings. Is that wall at this length, at this length? Did we want the TV [? cabinet ?] here or there? Everything is already set. And the drawing is already updated. I can just continue working in the desktop. And this is the biggest thing that AutoCAD 360 can offer. All right.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yeah, that was great. Now in the time that was left, because it was so effective for Dave to work, we actually had time to drink some coffee. And I was able to gather some feedback from him. And he said, look, that was really, really cool in terms of editing on site and working with customers. But how about creating drawings from scratch? I mean sometimes I come to a new site, completely new, and I really have to start from a blank canvas.

Right, so I told him that's not a problem, because we at AutoCAD 360, we cater for both of these scenarios. You can start something new and just draw freehand, using either your fingers or the Apple Pencil. And we have some specific features for the Apple Pencil, which we will showcase later. But you can also use your fingers. And you can do pretty much anything you can do with a pen and paper. You can be creative. You can showcase any kind of visual concepts you want just using the tablet. OK?

And so, Dave thought it was fine, but here's another concern, was about connectivity issues? Because sometimes when you go places they don't have Wi-Fi. They don't have any connection. And our perception, as people with these devices, is that they always have to be connected.

Now AutoCAD 360 works both offline and online in the same way. Once the device goes back online, all of your changes, all of your edits are synced automatically to the cloud, to the respective files, without your doing anything. So whenever you're back to this well connected and comfort zone of your home, of your office, doesn't matter, it all will be there.

Once again, you start from this. And you end with this, OK? So desktop, tablet, there is no real difference, OK. It's just a matter of a form factor. It's a matter of where you take it and where you want to use it. OK, screen size matters, but also movable and mobile devices matter as well.

So these are the features that make creating and being creative, for you guys, designers, architects, you can now do that freely with all this new, cool technology on site, be at the construction site, or be in our house. It doesn't matter. And of course, no more paper, and you're saving Hawaii from not being as beautiful as you saw at the beginning. Now, let's see it actually working. So Elad will help us again.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure, so let me just start a new drawing. It's very easy. We actually moved the button just recently, just to be right here. So it does the Create New Drawing. I'm hitting the Create button. This would work if I were online or offline. And there it is.

And usually when I open a new drawing, and this is a brand new feature. We actually just launched a couple of days ago. It went live on Sunday. And this is the grid. It's kind of visible. You might have to squint your eyes to see that we have a grid visible right here.

But just to make sure that we have it online, so I can see the settings palette. And we have here the grid settings. I can make it visible. I can snap to the grid. And I can even set major lines between the number between 1 and 20. So I can really have the grid serve my needs as a drafting experience.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Cool, so why won't we start with something simple as a room exterior, say. So our wall was eight meters long.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sure. So the most popular tool for AutoCAD 360 today is the Line tool. It's here under the Draw a Line. And when I just, I'll just zoom out a bit. And when I draw, everything snaps to grid. So as you can see I'm going by 0.5 just like that. And there is, an eight meter wall. And if I'm happy with the result, I just hit the Done button. It's there at the bottom. And that's it. We have a new line.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Cool, why won't we add two more walls, eight meters long.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Now you are making me work. OK, so I can add additional lines easily. I'll just zoom out a bit. And when I add a line, it automatically snaps, just like you'd expect, to the previous line. Now I'm dragging. And there are multiple ways that I can do it. Oh, I missed that. I can just move it a bit. There are multiple ways to work on and setting it to eight. I can use the keyboard, as you can see right here. We actually prefer to use your fingers because it's more fun. And it's actually faster.

And pro-tip, for anyone who's drawing lines, in addition to the Done button here, there's also the Add button. So if I need to add another line, I just hit that and I don't have to select the line tool again. Right now, I can just start a brand new line, drag it to wherever I want. Let's do it like 13 here. And that's it. So I didn't have to choose the line button again. Clicking on that. And that's it.

EDUARD MITELMAN: This is really cool, but, I mean, I personally feel that these actions would be a bit faster using a pen and the paper than what you did right now.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: I couldn't agree more with [? Eric. ?] It really takes a while to draw just using this keypad. It's different. It's not like the keyboard that we have on desktop. And it's all like the mouse. And we accept that. That's why we're working on innovative tools to make the drafting experience as fast as possible.

And one of the tools that I'd like to highlight is this [? Smart Pen ?] right here. As you can see, it's here at the end of the draw toolbar. And what's really cool about the Smart Pen is that it's continuous. So it's not only accurate, but if I want to add this 4.5 line, and I want to continue, I can just keep drawing.

So I'm adding 4.5 lines all across. And if I miss something, that's OK. I can just set it up, zooming in, and keep dragging and working just like that. So I can do all of these edits, just make everything super precise. I'm just zooming in to make sure. And I also have tracking abilities. So, just like you'd track on desktop, you have the same things here. And this makes drafting very accurate and very fast.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Well, that was easy. Why won't we add a round table to the room?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Of course, so, with working with the smart pen, is really best combined with the Apple Pencil. I know it sounds like an Apple commercial, but Apple is not paying us anything for it. It's really good. When I work with the Apple Pencil, I have two options how to interact with the screen.

When I use my finger, I just zoom in, zoom out, all of the things that you'd expect. But when the Apple Pencil touches the screen, it's immediately in Smart Pen mode. So if I'm trying to draw a line, or a circle, it automatically detects it. And this is a smart pen. I can draw circles. I can draw lines. I can even draw an arc. And we put in a lot of effort into making arcs very accurate.

So by using the Smart Pen, I can really do a lot of things really fast. And this is amazing. Hopefully you guys will see, when you're interacting with it, we have a couple of iPads and Apple Pencils at the AutoCAD booth. And this is really makes the drafting experience on mobile almost as good as paper. And we're working towards making it even more accurate and faster.

EDUARD MITELMAN: And also remember, as I mentioned, that offline, online, doesn't matter. It always stays here. And you can always see it on your desktop just when you ready to. Thanks a lot for the demo. I think it was really good.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Thank you.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Now, what we see here is the comparison of the two steps that we did between AutoCAD 360 and using paper. So essentially when an architect or a designer it comes to the site for a new [? scratch, ?] for a new sketching, for new something, for a concept, he goes through three stages.

First is the inaccurate, first something. I wouldn't even call a drawing, right. It's usually something very mixed, like my ideas, my vision. And then I need to go back. I need to add it and draw it on AutoCAD to be precise. And this is how I work. And it takes a lot of time to reinterpret and understand what exactly my sketch on the napkin or on the paper meant.

With AutoCAD 360, two steps only, very short steps. You learned the app. You open a new drawing. And you draw, as Elad just showed us, accurately from the get go. OK, you don't need to do anything double. You don't need to do anything once again. Everything is there from the get go, from the field, back to the office. And this loop goes on and on to save you a lot of time and a lot of effort.

So now I'll pass it back to Elad to discuss about how you can communicate with your colleagues using AutoCAD 360.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Thanks [? Eric. ?] So eventually, when we were working with drawings, it's all about communication. We at AutoDesk, we used to talk about documentation as a service, and the work that we're doing in documenting so that more people can understand how to build something, what we're doing with the app, and what we're doing with this drawing, and where this project going.

So right here, I want to give one of the biggest pro-tips that we feel that AutoCAD 360 can contribute to. And this is actually about sharing. There are two ways of sharing a file. You can just send it as an email, which is what most of us are doing. You send an email. You send a specific version of your drawing. Somebody gets it. Somebody gets it forwarded to someone else. And suddenly you have multiple versions of your drawing running around. Oh did you add the plumbing information? Did you add this thing or that thing? And things get mixed up.

So by sharing a file, using AutoCAD 360, you can actually have everybody look at the same version. Everybody are looking at the same thing. There is no confusion. And this no confusion mode saves time, because everybody is looking at the same thing. Unfortunately, not everybody uses sharing. And we want to address that.

So when we talk to customers about, why aren't you using the share feature? Why is it not working for you? And the responses that we're getting is, I don't want anybody else to be touching my DWG files. It's my own IP. I don't know who touched it, who changed it, all that. And I accept that. And we understand that in AutoCAD 360. That's why we have different levels of permission.

When I share a file, I can share it to like someone like [? Eric. ?] I don't want him to be touching it. I'll put him in a viewer mode so he can just view it. He can't even download the file. He can just view it through AutoCAD 360. And that makes a lot of difference because once I've made some changes, he can see it immediately. If I want someone to really collaborate with, let's say I'm working with a colleague, then I put him on the collaborator permission. And then he can edit and everybody can work together.

The other thing that we hear is that, I'm not sure that my colleagues have AutoCAD 360. I don't want them to pay for it, not, although AutoCAD 360 is one of our most inexpensive products. It's only $5 a month, $50 a year. That's nothing. But still, some people find that somewhat of a challenge. But AutoCAD 360 is free for viewing. So and everybody can just use it, and download for free, and view. And it's very easy.

And sometimes we hear, well, we don't, we might not have an iPad. I'm not sure, maybe they are using an Android, maybe they have Windows. AutoCAD 360 is available on all platforms. Anybody can use it. And it's so easy, as you just saw. And this is a class we're teaching the pro-tips.

But anybody just taking this app can get stuff done without any tutorial, without any class, without any learnings beforehand. And we put in a lot of effort into making it a good learning experience. So I'd really encourage everyone to share more. And hopefully, when you're thinking about sending your next DWG over, you'll reconsider and think, well, maybe I can do something there.

For us this AutoDesk University event is that the product development team, it's a very exciting event because this is the time where we can kind of brag all the cool things that we are working on this year and just share all the highlights. And we have one really big highlight that we want to share today.

And this is actually AutoCAD 360 on Windows 10. We've been working on this product for a while. And actually, we have an awesome team in Singapore. And there's [? Hemant ?] over there on the back. He's leading that team. So we're working together for a long time to bring all of the great stuff that we have on iOS, on iPad, iPhone, and Android, to Windows.

And what's really cool about Windows 10 is that it's really available on any device. That's why I've selected this picture to show you. We've got here Surface Book, the Surface Pro, just a regular PC running Windows 10, any Windows mobile device that's running, And it's available everywhere. You find pretty much the same set of features that we have on the other apps. And it's a really good experience because it's the same touch interface. And it also works with the surface span, just like we saw some things with the Apple. Pencil

So if you guys are working on Windows 10, I'd definitely encourage everyone to download this because it's really great for working on files and actually uploading them to the cloud. And when we're talking about really any Windows 10 device, we mean it. So I got to show you this video.

This is, we worked on it on the Surface Hub. Not sure if everybody is familiar with this device. But this is a huge Windows 10 screen. And we're looking at, this is one of our team members working on it in the Microsoft offices in Singapore. And he's actually drawing on this huge screen, working just like we saw in Minority Report. And this is really cool. So you can do all these edits and all these things together.

I know that probably most of us don't have a Surface Hub at the office or at home. We actually have one at the office. But it's really cool. And you can do a lot of stuff with it. So this is pretty exciting for us.

The other thing that we're working on, let me bring up our presentation, is just like we mentioned. And this is kind of a futuristic stuff, so we have to say this little, small words saying that, don't make any purchase decisions about the things that we're going to present here. They are coming, but you never know. So don't make any purchase decisions just based on that. But these are things that we really want to share with you.

So our focus, as a team right now, is really about redefining drafting on mobile. And just like you saw with the Apple Pencil and the Smart Pen, the adaptive grid that we showed when it changes when I zoom in and zoom out, and even the keypad drafting, just building a specific keyboard for mobile, because we understand that it's different when you're on site, when you're working on mobile.

You're not going to get all of the amazing desktop features that we have in AutoCAD, but we probably won't start working the same way on mobile as you are on desktop. And our focus is just to get that right amount of experience, the right amount of capabilities where you need them to be more productive and save more time.

And this is one of our biggest focuses, at least for this year. And really coming up with the special tools, like the Smart Pen, and bringing better stuff, better experience, so you can do more when you're out there. And so the next things that are coming up, we see a lot of people using the Trim tool. It's amazing on desktop. You just hit the Shift button. You hit, and you can extend and trim. And we're trying to bring that same super quick experience for mobile.

We're also working on Move. You saw how a lot of stuff are just being moved around, probably when you're editing existing drawings. And we know that. And we want to invest more in making that experience better.

But the biggest thing that we have is a very long term project. We call it project Fabric. And it's really creating a new core that will run our AutoCAD 360 apps. It's a huge deal for us. And we can only show a glimpse here, because, well, it's so much amount of work even to get what I'm going to show you right now. But this is the one thing that we're super excited. And let me just show you what I'm talking about.

So what we see here is AutoCAD 360, the existing gap, versus this new project Fabric, this new technology coming up. So what we're doing here is actually opening up the same file on AutoCAD 360. And it's fast. It's like 4.6 seconds. That works, that works for any of us. But when we're working with the new technology, with the desktop, boom, 0.4 seconds. This opens up bigger drawings, faster time. And it gets the same visual fidelity that you'll see on desktop.

And this is something that we've been getting a lot from customers. We want things to look exactly the same. We want to see all of our objects. And right now in AutoCAD 360, we're doing the best that we can. But with this new project right here, this will be an amazing experience. And we're working very hard to get this done.

So that's the content that we have for today. These are the main things that we wanted to share. I will be really happy to answer any questions, any thoughts that you have. So, please, yes.

AUDIENCE: Is there any plans to add more options to connect for storage?

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yes, so right now, we support Dropbox, Google Drive, and [? one ?] Drive. But we're really free to opening any kind of storage people use, which we'll experiment a lot [INAUDIBLE]. We ask a lot of users if anything comes up.

AUDIENCE: Yeah, as a large company we don't allow people [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: What do you guys use?

AUDIENCE: It's more for things like SharePoint, even things that can be housed internally with [? tech ?] [INAUDIBLE]. So it's a limiting factor for us.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: About storage options, we do get that a lot, connecting to more storages. And actually have two levels of interaction that we're playing. A, yes, we can add using the [? Forge ?] platform. And we can actually connect to more storages. And it will probably come up. I'm don't want to commit to any timelines, but it's something that we are aware of as Dropbox, GoogleDrive are used by smaller companies, usually. And bigger companies prefer a box, or SharePoint, or anything there.

But the other and the other way that we're dealing with this is actually by using this new technology that we just showed, we can actually enable bigger, offline compatibility mode. Which means that if you have any way of transferring files through your mobile device, you can just edit them locally and go back there. So, yes.

EDUARD MITELMAN: As we mentioned, we see a lot of people still e-mailing DWGs to themselves. So email is a cloud storage device for a lot of you guys, right. And that's fine.

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

EDUARD MITELMAN: Of course.

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yep. Another question?

AUDIENCE: Yeah, I was curious for sharing the drawing, and you're collaborating on it together, if you're going to allow that someone else to make corrections. Is there a way to track what they've done without [INAUDIBLE]?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: We used to have a way to track it down. Right now it's not available in the app. It would probably be available in future versions. But right now it will be a bit more difficult to see. Yes. Yeah?

AUDIENCE: I have a question related to the sharing piece. I'm curious what the relationship is between adding collaborators and so on, and using some of these external storage providers. Let's say you're using Dropbox. If I share the Dropbox folder that I'm using with somebody else, does that mean we're effectively collaborating on that despite the fact that I haven't necessarily invited them through the share functionality [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yes, so the question was, when do the show, and if I share something via Dropbox and via AutoCAD 360, are these the same sharing mechanism? And the answer is that if I share something through Dropbox, then anybody who works on that DWG drawing is can do it. So it's just another mechanism for sharing. So it's still separate. Yes, yes?

AUDIENCE: Can you talk a little bit about your GPS feature that is on the app [INAUDIBLE]?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Great question. You want to take it?

EDUARD MITELMAN: So the GPS uses the GPS of the device. It adds geolocation to the drawing. So when you have this DWG, and you're, for instance, on the big construction site, you want to make sure that you're in the right location, so you can just mark it was the GPS locator. It's a small pen. And then you just know where it's located. And that can help you in the orientation.

AUDIENCE: What kind of accuracy is that?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: The accuracy depends on the mobile device. So like the iPad does that provide some GPS functionality, but it's not as accurate as, like, a mobile device, like a phone, where it use the cellular addition to GPS. So it will be like 10 meter, five meter, it depends.

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yeah.

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE]

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Not, like not the same level.

EDUARD MITELMAN: It really depends on your device.

AUDIENCE: It's not for Civil or [INAUDIBLE] users [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yes, you're right.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yep.

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE] support for customization [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Customization, like in the level of AutoCAD customization? Or just setting up the toolbars differently, or things like that?

AUDIENCE: Adding your own toolbars.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: So this is something that we've been talking about, but I wouldn't say that, I wouldn't expect it anytime soon because we have bigger challenges for mobile devices yet. We are trying to work the toolbar completely differently. So you can expect that in the next year or so.

EDUARD MITELMAN: And really in that sense, we don't look at the customization as the solution, because what we envision is our app will know what you want. And you will have it just under your finger at the right moment. Right, so this is like the whole mobile app system, like think of the apps that all of us are using, they're not really customizable, they just happen to be there in the specific places where you need them. So this our really goal and the bigger vision, to use the mobile capabilities to bring our brains to you, instead of you working hard to customize it to your wishes. Yep.

AUDIENCE: Support for libraries [INAUDIBLE]

ELAD LEBOVITCH: About support for an additional objects like the AutoCAD verticals, like electrical, we used to have an AutoCAD electrical, and AutoCAD electrical on mobile. And we actually dropped it. But the good news is that with that project that we showed, we'll I actually have support. But it's coming up, like it's going to take a while. But eventually, yes, we'll have pretty much everything that you can do on desktop, or not everything, well, a lot of the important stuff that you can do on desktop and see, you'll probably have it available in mobile eventually. I wouldn't hold my breath though, all right. It's a lot of work.

AUDIENCE: Can you with your current configuration, can you add estimates, or add specific orders to it?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: We do have support for [? estimates, ?] but you'd have to add it on the desktop and then have them all available in mobile. And then you'll be able to see them.

AUDIENCE: [? Oh, ?] [? OK. ?]

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yes?

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE]

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Editing text? Yes, it's available.

EDUARD MITELMAN: We have a whole annotation unit. We just didn't show it here. But you can add bubbles. You can add comments. You can type. And everything is being saved there's a layer on top of the drawing, so, easy.

AUDIENCE: OK, great.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yes?

AUDIENCE: Can we erase with Apple Pen?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sorry? The Apple [? Pen, ?] we can erase with Apple Pen?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Can we erase? Yes, we actually have something called a Quick Delete All. But specifically the Apple Pen, it only has one input. And it's this end. So it doesn't have the eraser that the Surface Pen has. But we're working with Apple on it, so maybe next year. Yes?

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Tips for PDF?

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE]

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yes, we do have an option to, you can open a PDF in AutoCAD 360 and then draw over it. It's kind of different from PDF import on desktop. But this is also something that we're exploring at the moment.

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE]

ELAD LEBOVITCH: We can add, you can add images there. I'm not sure about TIFFs, though. I think we can. But definitely images--

EDUARD MITELMAN: JPGs, yeah.

AUDIENCE: Like if the drawing you're opening already has a TIFF or Raster image, you pull that up on your pad, [? you would ?] be able to see it?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yeah, you should be able to see it, yep. Yes?

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Sorry?

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE]. Drawing line, instead of drawing line can you just, there's an option [INAUDIBLE]?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: It's a great question. Currently we only support lines as just lines. And we've been thinking about adding walls, because we do see a lot of floor plans being made. And we also saw it in different apps. It's exploring, but not yet.

AUDIENCE: That will be [? the Offset ?] key?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yes, we have an Offset.

AUDIENCE: That would be perfect.

EDUARD MITELMAN: You have the Offsets. You have the [? dreams. ?] Like all the basic functions, essentially, are there. So it is fully functional and all the basic things you can do. The next step will be to have more sophisticated objects that will be [? smart. ?]

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yeah here it is. When I select a line, I have, if you can see here at the bottom, so I have all these tools. We have Offset here. And I can just set it right here. And we have Trim, Expand, and things like that. We just didn't highlight it during that demo.

AUDIENCE: In the [? bureau ?] mode, can you actually make comments and stuff [INAUDIBLE]?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: We have a way for viewers to add comments. It's called the Design Field. But the thing about viewing is that they really can't make any modification to the DWG file. So it's in a different layer. It's not even a layer, a DWG layer. It's like a different place. Yes. And not even, like way on the side, but it's there.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yep?

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

EDUARD MITELMAN: We have a clashing mechanism protection, so it can help you yourself if you change that in different places or multiple users. So if there is a clash of versions of the file that cannot be merged, you will get a notification asking you whether you want to choose this version, that version, you want to try to merge. So like you would expect was a Word document that is edited by multiple people, you have all the options to choose.

AUDIENCE: Is there any possible integration with technology like [INAUDIBLE]?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Actually, in terms of like future integrations, we haven't put in so much thought into it right now, just because we're focused on the things that we showed right now. Which you never know, we have a very dynamic team. And I can tell you that for sure. Yeah?

AUDIENCE: Can you-- you were [INAUDIBLE]?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Which objects?

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Oh, we support DWG files. So if only if you import it as a DWG file, and it would show up there. But I don't think, it's not something that we put in a lot of focus on.

AUDIENCE: Is the current version, can you use [INAUDIBLE]?

EDUARD MITELMAN: Yeah, so there's no block editor yet. You can currently use only the blocks that were imported with the file. So you can't create new blocks within the app. But we get this a lot from all kinds of customers. So this is definitely something on our road map. We just need to find, again, everything we do, we need to find the mobile way of doing it. We don't just want to copy and paste whatever is done on desktop. That would be easy, but not usable for you guys. So we are looking into it to see how would you use new blocks and how would you create blocks on mobile.

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Yep.

EDUARD MITELMAN: We have our booth. And we're here. So if you have specific demo questions, just pop over for the booth. And our guys there will show you, have a big team here from Tel Aviv. They'll be happy to show you any features that you'd like more deep dive into.

ELAD LEBOVITCH: We have time for one more question, if there's any.

AUDIENCE: If you're using 3D objects and databases that use 3D objects, how is it shown on the mobile [INAUDIBLE] and can you edit those objects once you're in there?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: 3D objects, now that's our pain point. We actually, you can view 3D objects, and it will be visible. We have a 3D viewer in the app. However, we don't edit any 3D objects. And we're and we're not currently even looking into improving that. So if I were working on 3D projects, I'd probably look at A 360 for viewing and getting more information there. And about editing 3D objects is something that we don't support. One more question, yeah?

AUDIENCE: When you're opening up a new drawing, do you have the ability to open up a template [INAUDIBLE]?

ELAD LEBOVITCH: Like form a template? That's a great question. Opening up a new drawing from template, something that we were just talking about. And this is, I'd expected sometime soon. Yeah, definitely [? expiration. ?]

AUDIENCE: [INAUDIBLE].

ELAD LEBOVITCH: So thanks for the questions. If you guys haven't downloaded AutoCAD 360, you can just text, if you have a USA phone number, can text their word AutoCAD 360 to this number and just download it. And again, like [? Eric ?] mentioned, we're at the booth. We love to hear if you guys are considering working with mobile apps, working on AutoCAD 360, just talk to us. We really want to hear your stories, your needs, anything that we can help and help us direct to just give a better solution. Thank you very much.

EDUARD MITELMAN: Thank you.
