Industry 4.0 is the current and developing environment in which disruptive technologies and trends such as the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, Blockchain, virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) are changing the way we live and work.This proof of concept case study demonstrates how Blockchain technology can be adopted in the construction management process by utilizing IOT, Blockchain platform and BIM CDE (BIM 360) for martial supply chain monitor and control. In this presentation, we will cover the understanding of Blockchain technology, the process map for the implementation, the results and outcomes of the current case study.

- MAMarwan AbuEbeidDr. Marwan Abu Ebeid is the Sr. BIM Manager and Head of the BIM division in UAE for Turner Construction International - Turner International Middle East, a New York based Construction Project Management firm with regional office in Dubai, UAE. In this capacity, Marwan provides operational oversight, technical support and training of staff in BIM practices for all Turner projects in the GCC and the greater Middle East. Dr. Marwan has over 18 years of experience in Construction Project Management and Building Information Modeling where he has worked in a variety of notable and landmark projects of various kind and use. He is an author of several academic publications, a founding member of smart construction research center, an expert industrial advisor and specialist speaker in various international exhibitions and conferences. Dr. Marwan obtained his PhD from Heriot Watt University – UK majoring in Construction Project Management and Building Information Modeling.
