AU 2020 Is Going Digital—Submit Your Proposal Today
AU conferences are going digital in 2020, and that means we can connect and share knowledge in new ways—and on a global scale. But the essence of AU remains the same: it’s about learning through community and discovering what’s possible together.
Be an AU speaker and broadcast your expertise at this year’s global digital experience. Call for Proposals is now open. Submit your proposal to lead a class, present a Theater talk, or write an article for publication on the AU website.
What industry insights do you have to share? What workflows have you pioneered? How have you leveled up your skills, your company, or your entire industry? Whether you work in architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or media, now is the time to gather your ideas and write your proposal.
What’s new and noteworthy
With the many changes involved in the move to a global digital experience, it’s essential to download and carefully review the updated 2020 CFP Guide, even if you’ve spoken at AU before. Here are some important items of note:
Classes and Theater talks—As in previous years, classes are 60 or 90 minutes in length, and feature case studies, workflows, and industry expertise. Theater talks are 15-minute presentations focused on the future of your industry.
Video—Speakers will be able to present their AU session from anywhere this year. The ability to capture high-quality video and audio will be an important factor.
Articles—Want to share your expertise in written form? Articles are published on the AU website and other AU channels and are available for year-round learning. They're a new format this year—get the details in Part 4 of the 2020 CFP Guide.
Language localization—It’s happening. That means you can lead your AU session in your preferred language. The AU web experience will provide language localization in English, French, Japanese, Mandarin, German, and Spanish.
AU London proposals—If you submitted a proposal for AU London earlier this year, you don’t need to resubmit. We'll automatically consider your proposal for the digital experience. We’ll be in touch with any additional requirements and special instructions on how to review and revise your proposal if necessary.
Broadcast your expertise
The move to a digital AU experience is a big deal. Though we’ll miss connecting in person, the opportunities are exciting. Unlimited class sizes and new ways to connect, expand your network, and build your professional reputation are just the beginning.
We’ll be sharing all the details about the digital AU experience in the weeks and months to come. But for now, the important thing is that you be a part of it. Read the 2020 CFP Guide and submit your proposal. We can’t wait to see what you have to share.
