Continuing the BIM and GIS Integration

Through the Autodesk and Esri Partnership, the tools allowing the simplification of the connection between Autodesk BIM design software and Esri GIS database continue to evolve. A new version of the Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS was introduced in the previous version of InfraWorks (2019.3), making it now possible to:

Discover those new capacities in the 2 videos below:

You may have recognized the “Hauts de Seine” data provided by IGN (French governmental organization) already used for previous manipulations with InfraWorks. This data was used in a webinar back in June 2016, which is still available for viewing here. In this webinar, the data were used locally because the Connector for ArcGIS did not exist. To create the videos above, the same data have simply been published on ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.

Summary of the data used in the videos:

In InfraWorks (2020), you are now able to make changes to GIS data that was imported from ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise. With proper permissions to ArcGIS, those changes made in InfraWorks can be saved back to the ArcGIS Feature Service. Learn more here.
