AU 2016 Video: The 7 Deadly Sins of Corporate Training Programs

Corporate Training Programs

There are definitely right and wrong ways to approach training. Anyone who has experienced a training that provided little to no new insights can vouch for that.

Veteran AU speaker and AutoCAD 35 Under 35 honoree Donnie Gladfelter can speak from experience on the highs and lows of corporate training. At AU 2016, Jason Kunkel joined him for the session “The 7 Deadly Sins of Corporate Training Programs.”

AU 2016 7 Sins Corporate Training Programs

“It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to teach AutoCAD or Microsoft Word in your company or if you’re trying to teach some other soft skill,” Gladfelter says. “This is ultimately a training class…We’re not spotlighting any of the technology, so to speak, but rather the processes that helped us make training successful in our own companies.”

Wonder what could be so sinful about corporate training? From a “miracle in the classroom” to “everyone is trainable,” these sins may seem familiar, but still happen all the time. If you’re ready to embark on a path of training virtuosity (and be more effective) with your training programs, this is the session for you.

An in-depth handout is available in addition to the video. Take a look so you can make training a more enjoyable and productive experience!
