This month’s Have You Tried is all about copying data into AutoCAD using the clipboard.
The clipboard can be a convenient way to create a table from a spreadsheet that contains a door and window schedule. In addition, the clipboard can be used to copy objects and geometry between drawings and layouts, or outside of AutoCAD to other products.
In this Have You Tried, we’ll go over how to:
- Copy and paste data from another application into AutoCAD
- Copy information into AutoCAD using paste special
- Copy and paste objects between layouts or drawings
- Copy objects and paste as a block
- Copy objects and paste to original coordinates
Learn how using the clipboard can save you time, with the step-by-step examples in the Have You Tried: Accessing Data from the Clipboard.
Keep the Feedback Coming
Thanks for all the great feedback submitted so far. Because of the great feedback, we have been able to improve the topics in the AutoCAD Online Help system.
The best way to submit feedback is by using the “Was this helpful?” section located at the bottom of every Help topic. Let us know what you like or don’t like about a topic or provide suggestions for other subjects that you’d like to see covered in greater detail. The more specific your comments, the better.
