Our featured guest speakers will be Will Marinos, Director of Design Technologies at Hazen and Sawyer, and Greg Low, VDC Subject Matter Expert at Autodesk.

Will Marinos’s vast knowledge and background in civil design is put to good use at Hazen and Sawyer, where his specialty is focused on the design technology that the company uses, implementing Autodesk products like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and more.

Marino will be discussing a case study that highlights the importance of collaboration.

In Thursday’s webinar, Will Marinos will be discussing a project at Hazen and Sawyer that used Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and Revit in ACC utilizing Design Collaboration and Model Coordination for the Revit models. During design, key asset information was included in the Revit models to make tracking assets during construction easier. Hazen and Sawyer is strategically implementing projects in ACC to centralize project details, data storage and workflow management, creating improved collaboration across Hazen and Sawyer, and contractor teams.

Greg Low brings 20 years of expertise in VDC and construction management, with a rich portfolio spanning hospitals, cleanrooms, high-rise towers, office spaces, hospitality, education, entertainment, sports, and religious buildings. For the past 14 years, he has excelled at Okland Construction—a top 100 ENR firm—serving as a Project Engineer, BIM Manager, and VDC Director.

In addition to his current role as a VDC Subject Matter Expert at Autodesk, Greg is an adjunct professor in the Construction Management program at Brigham Young University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. Based in Utah, USA, Greg enjoys family time, outdoor adventures, and cycling.

In addition to exploring questions about how you can teach your students to use Autodesk BIM Collaborate for 3D model coordination, you will also hear from the Autodesk Construction Cloud team about Autodesk’s Educator Learning Resources designed to help you seamlessly integrate Autodesk Construction Cloud into your classroom.

You will take away core skills to develop your knowledge in construction that can be applied to teaching curriculum that bridges the gaps across vocational education, academia, and industry.

These one-hour interactive sessions are a combination of information sharing and product demonstrations. Recordings are available after each event, but educators are encouraged to join us live and make connections within our vibrant education community. We’ll also leave time for participants to ask the Autodesk Construction Cloud team questions.

In addition to this webinar, we have recorded a playlist of previous episodes with an exciting array of topics and speakers meant to aid you in helping your students discover how cutting-edge technology can overcome some of construction’s biggest challenges.
