In today’s construction landscape, there are a lot of products, services, and technologies that offer the promise of “better”. With so many options, it isn’t easy to know where to turn for an unbiased opinion.
That problem ends today.
Autodesk is launching Digital Builder Insider — a collection of resources from industry leaders and up-and-coming thinkers immersed in the world of construction.
Digital Builder Insider brings you the ideas, experiences, and opinions expressed by the diverse voices shaping construction, from industry veterans to tech experts to analysts and consultants across the globe.
With rising material costs, new sustainability standards, the growing need for skilled laborers, and an influx of construction technology to manage the project lifecycle, the industry is at a tipping point.
Credibility and trust are the foundation of a solid relationship. And in construction, these attributes lead to greater collaboration, communication, and overall project success.
By partnering with the industry, we’re providing a platform of curated content to give readers an insider’s look at issues, trends, and topics, while facilitating impactful conversations with those in the driver’s seat.
To provide a global perspective on what’s happening across construction, we’re tapping into trusted industry voices. Dubbed “the Insiders”, these individuals are advocates for the industry and are passionate about driving change from top-down to bottom-up.

With a focus on digital transformation, the future of work, and sustainability, the Insiders will provide their perspectives on the leading trends and issues in construction to give you a deeper understanding of the industry.
While the following are the main themes that content will align to, there are a variety of topics that fall within that the Insiders will cover.
Digital Transformation — Big Data, connectivity and cloud technology, and predictive analytics. These topics are not just future trends and ideas; they’re issues impacting construction right now. If you don’t understand what they mean and the impact they can have on your business, you will be left behind. From understanding the importance of undergoing a digital transformation to implementing standards to improve performance and predictability, the Insiders will share the importance of embracing available technology and how to apply it to your firm to drive change.
Future of Work — Since early 2021, 33 million workers have left their jobs — and this is in the US alone. The industry is at an inflection point. Labor shortages and the underrepresentation of female and minority groups are driving the industry to recognize a shift in how we advance the workplace. From upskilling talent to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace, the Insiders will provide critical insight into what’s happening across the industry and how firms are reacting to change and doubling down on this paradigm shift.
Sustainability — Construction creates an estimated third of the world's overall waste and contributes to at least 40% of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions. As an industry, we need to fundamentally shift the approach to how we build by implementing new methodologies. From prefabrication to lean manufacturing and laser scanning to drone technology, the Insiders will share how the industry is adapting to construct, restore, and conserve the built environment.
Check back early and often to read exclusive content from the Insiders on trends, issues, and topics impacting the construction industry.
Content will vary from timely to evergreen topics that are top-of-mind to the industry. But one thing will remain constant: independent perspectives and points of view for the industry by the industry.
