Warren Services is a manufacturing business in England based in Thetford, Norfolk. Founded in 1990, the company has spent decades evolving its business and building an enterprise that provides high quality precision engineering services.
Using state of the art machinery and technology combined with the expertise of its staff, Warren Services makes bespoke complex machinery for people and businesses around the world.
The 31-year-old company operates across two sites with engineering and manufacturing capabilities that extend from CNC machining, welding, fabrication and finishing to water jet, laser and folding, electrical assembly and testing, and more.
Autodesk software has long played a key role in Warren Services processes and workflows. They use Autodesk Inventor for general design and analysis and to take design ideas through to the manufacturing side of the business.
To manage all of their design and parts data, Warren Services uses Autodesk Vault Professional. Vault automates design and engineering processes, controls what people can access and edit, and tracks revisions and design history. Vault allows their whole team to easily collaborate on different aspects of a project together, as well as with their supply chain, and customers.
“It’s given us a structure, which allows us to accelerate our development of our design projects,” said Will Bridgman, Chairman of Warren Services. “Using the Autodesk products allows us to share that data outside of our business. We want to collaborate with our suppliers and our customers collaborate with us to make sure that we look at the manufacturability of the products at a really early stage.”
At Warren Services it’s not about digital for digital sake, it’s about making it easier for everyone in the business. “From a digital transformation point of view, I’m really passionate about our transition,” said Bridgman.
Getting data management right reduces mundane tasks and frees up engineers’ time to think about solving the real problems, which is what they really want to spend their time on.
