Info360 Asset is often used by field crews to work from the field and upload pipeline and manhole CCTV inspections and associated videos and images via a dedicated web portal. We have incorporated support for the Manual of Sewer Condition Classification (MSCC) 4/5 standard in Info360 Asset and made it easier for contractors or field crews to upload associated MSCC media and for condition programme managers to review inspected assets in an easy, efficient way.
A better way to upload and review inspection data files
“With this update, field crews and condition programme managers in a UK water utility – or tier 1 service delivery contractors, tier 2 CCTV inspection contractors and consultants – can improve the efficiency and productivity in delivering condition data from the field into the office, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and reliability of inspection condition data for downstream use, such as risk and rehabilitation modelling,” says Autodesk Asset Management Product Manager Tony Andrews.
In addition to making the data more accurate by factoring in things like the inspection and condition MSCC standard, Info360 Asset can make the work more efficient. CCTV contractors in the field can receive immediate feedback from a condition programme manager in the form of notes associated with a specific inspection and media, as well as notification that an inspection has been rejected, is currently in review, or has been approved. Each observation is even marked in a video’s timeline so you can quickly jump to that point of the recording when reviewing the inspection.
“This collaborative review workflow leads to high-quality inspections,” says Andrews. “When inspection data and media are uploaded in Info360 Asset, they are associated with the inspected asset, so you can locate the asset and its previous and latest inspections quickly, anytime you need it, either geographically from the thematic network map or directly from the asset inspection and risk tables.”
More reliable risk analysis
Improving the inspection reviewing and approval processes generates high-quality inspection and leads to more accurate risk analysis, which in turn can be used for rehabilitation planning and asset recommendations. In short, the more high-quality data you can provide early on, the better decisions you’ll be able to support in the end.
You can leverage your asset information and condition to determine the risk of failure of your water mains and sewer pipes, for each individual asset, or as the overall business risk of exposure for your systems.
Info360 Asset allows you to completely configure your likelihood (LoF) and consequence of failure (CoF) components using condition, user-defined, and GIS data, and control the weighting of each risk component.
Once new inspections are uploaded, and condition is assessed, LoF and CoF can be updated so that risk is always up to date with your asset data. You will be able to track risk trends for each asset.
More informed asset interventions
This release comes on the heels of our latest update to Info360 Asset, which added a decision tree tool that guides asset decisions, prescribing asset maintenance, rehabilitation, replacement, or re-inspection. These decision trees and their related queries can be based on asset information, condition, and risk, providing clarity about the asset decision process.
