As we embrace the summer months, it’s impossible for us not to think about water. Whether it’s planning a vacation to visit our favorite body of water or heading to the pool to cool off from the raising temperatures (or possibly its afternoon rainstorms), water is at the forefront of our minds this time of year. What better way to spend this time than enjoying some new Water Drop workflow videos.

Validating results using audit reporting in InfoDrainage

First, Midori Patterson walks us through audit reporting in InfoDrainage. This tool allows users to confirm analysis results and meet criteria set forth by municipalities. She walks through how you can use templates to quickly analyze these results, highlighting where changes are required, updating and confirming the fix.

“Any time you’re disrupting natural drainage patterns at a site, you’re going to need to prove that you’re not making things worse.” That’s where an audit report can help.

Multiple design Iterations in one file in InfoDrainage

Next, I show you how to use the Phase Management tool in InfoDrainage, which allows you to store multiple designs iterations in one file. The ability to store these designs efficiently not only helps keep files more organized but it also opens the possibility of comparing different designs to help make drainage design choices.

Do you need to modify your design for a proposed condition? Phase Management is all about making and showing these kinds of options.

Print: An underutilized tool in InfoWorks ICM

The simple, but powerful, print functionality in InfoWorks ICM is often forgotten. In this video, Tim Medearis demonstrates how you can prepare, customize, and templatize your reports for quick and easy sharing.

Sometimes, presenting your work in print (or just as a pretty PDF) is essential. Here’s how to do it right.

Leveraging RTC in InfoWorks ICM

Finally, Ryan Brown explains how you can set up and use Real-Time Controls (RTC) while running a simulation in InfoWorks ICM. He shows how setting up and modifying pump controls for different simulations can affect your model results.

Ryan keeps it real at the end with a dam break example using variable geometry.
