The latest version of InfoWorks WS Pro is here, bringing improvements to the platform in a variety of ways. Perhaps most significantly, you now have access to reserved runs in the cloud, streamlining collaboration and workflows. Additionally, the development and QA teams have built in streamlined live data configurations and made a variety of quality improvements to the platform.
Reserved runs in the cloud
One of the biggest features unveiled in this latest release is reserved runs in the cloud. What this feature allows is a quick and easy exploration during model build or calibration. Additionally, in response to user requests, we added in functionality that allows you to test simulations with unsaved changes in your model.
For users working on shared models with other team members, these improvements mean better workflows testing and improving models in parallel workstreams.
Easier live data configuration
Connecting with live data has become increasingly important for modeling teams and has become a priority in the platform. The InfoWorks WS Pro team has improved the workflow of using live data feeds while also removing the need to configure redundant live data points.
Live data configurations can now be adjusted in the property editor inside of InfoWorks WS Pro, which means that your input fields are responsive to what type of data you’re inputting configurations for. Additionally, you can now directly view multiple data feeds in graph view, creating better visualizations as you’re bringing in many series of data feeds.
Quality improvements
As part of Autodesk’s continued commitment to user feedback and keeping the platform best in class, our support documentation catalogs important known issues for customers to be aware of. Importantly, our team has addressed all general and simulation issues on this list in the latest release, underscoring the advantages of leveraging distribution modeling tools supported by extensive development and product support teams. You can explore more about what’s been addressed on the InfoWorks WS Pro page.
