A few months back, we introduced new courseware for four apps: InfoWater Pro, InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoDrainage and InfoWorks ICM. We’ve just launched three more free courses to help our customers get as much out of our apps as possible. These three new courses are all about InfoWater Pro.
InfoWater Pro Advanced
This is the next step for InfoWater Pro users: InfoWater Pro Advanced. This course will teach you to:
- Create a reliable and efficient water system plan with a model connected to ArcGIS Pro that predicts growth and meets regulatory requirements.
- Leverage GIS integration to improve efficiency before calibrating the model for water quality analysis.
- Use the Scheduler to optimize operational controls, the Protector for secure water distribution, the Designer for rehabilitation of water supply systems, and the Criticality Assessment Manager to identify critical valves.
InfoWater Pro UDF
Next up is the InfoWater Pro UDF course. Unidirectional Flushing (UDF) is a water-efficient method of cleaning water distribution pipes to improve water quality and restore capacity. After completing this course, you’ll be able to:
- Create a unidirectional flushing (UDF) plan with a water model connected to ArcGIS Pro
- Systematically isolate portions of your water distribution system to maximize flushing effectiveness
- Develop a UDF plan to prolong the life expectancy of your system
InfoSurge Pro
InfoSurge was previously a separate add-on app for transient analysis, but since version 2024 it has been included in InfoWater Pro as part of an Autodesk subscription.
This is excellent added value for our customers, and we want to make sure they take advantage of InfoSurge functionality’s power in predicting water hammer effects. If that sounds like you, we hope you will get started with this new InfoSurge Pro course.
Our learning methodology
It’s worth your time to learn how to use the major functionalities of any app, but we believe the quality of the courseware makes a big difference as to whether you will, so we’ve tried to focus on quality with these courses:
- On-demand: Approach them at your own pace and in your own time. Sign in with your Autodesk account, and we’ll make it easy for you to come back to where you left off.
- Comprehensive: We aim for comprehensiveness but have also organized this content so it can consumed in small chunks.
- Engaging: We want our training to be approachable and interactive, with text that closely tracks video presentations, downloadable sample content, low-stakes quizzes, helpful illustrations, and handy information that doesn’t require you to dig deeply into separate technical documentation (unless you want to).
- Accessible: We want to offer as many helpful features as possible on our learning platform so you can bookmark, create and share lists, see your history, adjust your video speed, etc. We want make your experience easy and accessible – not something you put off or avoid.
That’s the latest in courseware. We also recently added Technical Hubs for each of our products, and that includes the InfoWater Pro Technical Hub. From there, you can sign up for important email updates about InfoWater Pro, if you wish. Or, bookmark the page and come back at any time.
