China Construction Eighth Engineering Division, Chongqing GY Island Green Development Company, and TY Intelligent Science & Technology have grown an ecological restoration project worthy of nature itself.
After nearly four years, China’s Guangyang Island natural recovery and restoration project has reversed ecological damage and significantly increased the number of plant and animal species. The restored environment provides residents with access to vibrant green spaces and cultural buildings and showcases the potential of large-scale sustainable development.
Using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other tools, China Construction improved design efficiency by 60 percent and completed the project 56 days ahead of schedule. The company also achieved "zero rework, zero modifications, and zero accidents" in the construction process. By using Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D, the company increased the island’s vegetation coverage to 90 percent and achieved 100 percent solid waste recycling.
