Yes, Autodesk Fusion allows you to continue working on your EAGLE electronic design and introduces improved workflows. EAGLE technology has been integrated into the Autodesk Fusion environment. Review the migration guide document for a more detailed explanation of the migration steps to migrate your electronic designs from EAGLE to Autodesk Fusion.
Autodesk Fusion is a cloud-based 3D modeling, CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software platform for professional product design and manufacturing. Your design files are accessible to you from anywhere with an internet connection which allows working remotely and easily collaborate with your team.
Autodesk Fusion is fully compatible with native EAGLE files and can be opened directly through its user interface. Follow the migration guide to learn more about accessing your EAGLE design and library files using Autodesk Fusion electronics.
No, exporting your design and library files will not be necessary. Your files can be loaded directly to Autodesk Fusion. The EAGLE native files are stored locally and are fully compatible with Autodesk Fusion. Follow the migration guide to learn more about accessing your EAGLE design and library files using Autodesk Fusion electronics.
Autodesk Fusion allows you to design PCBs using the electronics workspace. Autodesk Fusion enables users to design schematics that include SPICE simulation capabilities and can synchronize the PCB layout workspace with advanced manual routing capabilities. You can access thousands of libraries provided by partners and thousands more made by our team. Alternatively, you can make your own library, by using our advanced IPC-compliant package calculator, which builds a component with a 3D model with material properties assigned. Autodesk Fusion integrates electronics with mechanical design, with access to further capabilities such as the Simulation Extension. Enabling you to create fully integrated designs incorporating electronic components.
Your EAGLE library files are fully compatible with Autodesk Fusion. Refer to the migration guide to learn more about it. Once the files are uploaded to Autodesk Fusion, you can easily edit them and use the IPC-compliant package editor to add 3D models to your components.
Managed libraries are stored on Library.io . EAGLE and Autodesk Fusion are separate applications, but access the same repository for managed libraries. After installing and launching Autodesk Fusion, no further action will be needed since your managed libraries will appear in the library manager.
If your libraries are managed, no action is required, and they will be available when working on your design in Autodesk Fusion. Your EAGLE local libraries are fully compatible with Autodesk Fusion, and refer to our migration guide to learn more about the following steps.
Yes, you can load your Design Rule Check preferences or use the ones made available to us from manufacturers. Many manufacturers will offer DRC files in EAGLE format; you can also load them into Autodesk Fusion.
Yes, you can upload your custom CAM files. Autodesk Fusion CAM processors will allow you to upload your local CAM job within Autodesk Fusion. You can set a local directory under preferences and have Autodesk Fusion always access your local CAM jobs.
If you have a script file with your keyboard shortcuts defined, you can import them. There might be some conflicts with pre-assigned shortcuts defined in the Autodesk Fusion platform.
Almost all User Language Programs (ULP) will work in Autodesk Fusion. After invoking the RUN command from the automation tab, you can select the existing ULP. To access your ULP, select browse to navigate your local ULP. In preferences, you can define the path of your local ULP's.
