Issue:

How are the permissions managed for AutoCAD Plant 3D collaboration projects?

Solution:

It is needed to differ between Account Admin, Project Admin and the specific permissions set up for the specific projects.

In general the account admin is creating the projects (or better "project folders"; in the project folders the Plant 3D collaboration projects are saved), he/she is administrating the account members, including project members, creating the roles, where members can be added to, and some other general stuff, like the settings, adding companies, etc. He/she is also creating the project admin.

In Project Admin the project admin is mainly activating the services for that specific project folder, adding members to the specific project folder and setting up the permissions.

In Document Management the shared collaboration projects are visible and here it is possible to set up the permission folder-wise for a project. For example the P&ID drafter do have full permission for the P&ID drawing folder but for the rest he has only permissions for "View&Download", which is the minimum permission to open a collaboration project in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
