Autodesk introduced the New Installation Experience (aka ODIS - On-Demand Installation Services) to improve installation and deployment tasks. This has replaced the Classic Installer used by most products in previous releases.

The New Installation Experience improves services expedite downloads and installs. It also offers a silent install option for products on all operating systems, as well as deployments from Autodesk Account (aka Custom Install).

This article helps understanding whether your product is using the New Installation Experience (ODIS) or the Classic Installer.

A few Autodesk products started relying on the New Installation Experience in their 2020 and 2021 versions (see below). From versions 2022, the majority of products now use the New Installation Experience.
