Issue:

When running the DeleteStandardMaterials Macro on a Revit model, the following error occurs:

You are trying to checkout a large number of elements. Instead checkout the following worksets: worksets names.

Large number of elements.png

Causes:

  • 4001 or more elements are affected by the same command causing the warning.
  • DeleteStandardMaterials macro is designed to remove all materials named Standard at once exceeding the limit.

Solution:

This warning will not prevent DeleteStandardMaterials Macro from running, and choosing "Check Out Worksets" should allow the process to continue.

Note: The DeleteStandardMaterials macro has been developed to address an issue in some old Revit data sets described here.
