How to start the Fusion Service Utility.

Solution:

Launching The Service Utility from Fusion

The Service Utility may be manually invoked in-product from the Help > Support and Diagnostics > Service Utility command.

Launching The Service Utility outside Fusion (if Fusion does not start)

The Fusion Service Utility is invoked automatically when two consecutive start failures are detected.

Other methods to invoke the Service Utility include:

Windows:

  • Open the Service Utility from the programs list:  
    1. Open Settings from the Windows Start Menu.
    2. Click Apps or go to "All Apps and Programs"
    3. Select Autodesk Fusion from the list. 
    4. Click Change or Modify. The Service Utility will open.

  • Start the Fusion executable (Fusion 360.exe) with line command -Service Util from the Command prompt or by editing shortcut.

macOS:

  • Open the Service Utility from the following file path: Mac Drive>Users>[Username]>Applications>Autodesk Fusion Service Utility
  • Open the Service Utility from Launchpad.

  • Open the Service Utility from the Spotlight:
    1. Select the search icon in the top right corner of your desktop screen.

    1. Search for Autodesk Fusion Service Utility and select the application.
