Issue:

How to manually collect and find the location of the diagnostic log files for Fusion. 

Solution:

The log files for Fusion are located in hidden files and folders on your machine. For information on how to access these files and folders, see these links for Windows and for Mac OS.

Installation Log files

For installation or update errors.

  • Windows: C:\Users\(username)\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log
  • macOS: Macintosh HD>Users>(username)>Library>Logs>autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log

Application Log Files

For issues launching or operating Fusion.

  • Windows:
    • C:\Users\(username)\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\(Alphanumeric Folder)\logs  (Look for all *.log files.)
    • C:\Users\(username)\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\logs  (Look for all *.log files. Logs here when login is unsuccessful.)
  • macOS:
    • Macintosh HD>Users>(username)>Library>Application Support>Autodesk>Autodesk Fusion 360>(Alphanumeric Folder)>logs  (Look for all *.log files)
    • Macintosh HD>Users>(username)>Library>Application Support>Autodesk>Autodesk Fusion 360>logs  (Look for all *.log files. Logs here when login is unsuccessful.) 

Service Log Files

For issues connecting to Autodesk servers. 

  • Windows OS: %localappdata%\Autodesk\Identity Services\Log\IdServices.log
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Identity Services/Log/IdServices.log
