I've got all the new shades applied to my model.
00:06
And now, I'd like to create a shader variation for the body.
00:09
To do this, I'll click on the body color,
00:12
select a New Switch Shader,
00:14
and it's automatically added to the new switch shader.
00:19
Next, I'll
00:20
drag the red metallic shader onto the switch,
00:23
which adds it to the list of shades in the switch.
00:27
Then I'll middle mouse button drag and drop the switch shader onto the body,
00:31
replacing the single red car paint.
00:36
Switch shaders work together with Variants to allow
00:38
you to quickly change between shader variations.
00:42
Position your model in a view you'd like for
00:44
your thumbnail, and then go to the Variant Lister
00:47
and create new variant to capture the
00:49
model with the current switch shader assignment.
00:53
I'm just going to use this for a shader variation,
00:55
so I'll turn off the Camera mask to avoid changing views when I select the variant.
01:02
Next,
01:02
we'll select the gray metallic shader in the switch shader editor to make it active,
01:06
and then create New Variant, which captures the model with this new shader applied.
01:13
You can continue to add shaders to the switch
01:15
shader to create additional shader variations of your model.
