In this video, we will discuss the Autodesk project plan checklist that is available for you to leverage as you begin your SSO implementation.
00:10
The design of this checklist resource is to provide you with a project plan,
00:14
to guide you through the recommended four phases of implementing Single Sign-on.
00:19
This checklist document provides you with a detailed list of the key steps that you should consider for each of these phases.
00:27
To get started, you will want to identify an SSO administrator or multiple administrators,
00:33
that will be responsible for implementing and executing the project.
00:38
An SSO admin has the same access rights as a secondary admin with the added permissions that they are able to administer and set up SSO.
00:47
However, they do not have access to see any contract details that are available within Autodesk account.
00:55
The first phase is the preparation phase, and as shown here in the checklist,
00:59
it identifies four key tasks that you as the SSO admin should complete in the phase.
01:05
The columns on the right of the project plan checklist provides fields to allow you to define information.
01:11
This includes the ownership of the task and a field to include a completion date as well as a status box for each task.
01:23
The second page of the document continues with the same layout and provides the task for the last three recommended phases.
01:30
Phase two is where you are going to configure the SSO, and the steps in this phase vary depending on your identity provider.
01:38
These steps have been conveniently detailed in Autodesk Single Sign-On Configuration Guide that's available in Autodesk Help.
01:45
The configuring SSL link shown here can also be used to quickly access this guide.
01:53
SSO authentication will impact Autodesk application and services,
01:58
so it is important that testing is carried out prior to enabling your SSO connection.
02:04
Once all the testing is complete and you have verified that all Autodesk services are working using SSO,
02:10
you can move to enabling the SSO connection so that all of your users can benefit from the convenience of Single Sign-on.
02:18
Please download and consider using this checklist as you begin your SSO implementation.
