Hello and welcome to gravity pipe network interference
00:03
check.
00:04
My name is Stacy Morykin, design technology manager.
00:08
Interference checking lets you quickly identify
00:10
pipe network parts that may conflict with each other.
00:13
This feature compares the actual
00:17
to identify parts that physically overlap, collide,
00:20
or intersect in an inappropriate way,
00:23
or that have violated the predefined proximity
00:25
based criteria.
00:28
Course overview.
00:30
In this course, we start by using the command
00:32
to run an interference check between two different networks,
00:35
storm and sanitary, inside of our Civil 3D drawling file.
00:39
We will set the distance criteria
00:41
and let Civil 3D analyze both networks to determine which
00:45
locations have a conflict.
00:48
In the following session, we will navigate the interference
00:51
locations.
00:53
We will also work through the pipe properties
00:55
of both the sanitary and storm networks
00:57
to adjust invert elevations.
00:60
Once those elevations are adjusted,
01:02
we will rerun the interference to determine
01:04
if any conflicts were resolved.
01:08
The individual workflows in this learning path are as follows.
01:12
First, we will run an interference check,
01:14
then we will navigate and correct the interferences.
01:18
Follow along with me as we begin this course in gravity pipe
01:21
network interference checks.
