It gets lonely in here with no teammates.
00:15
In this video, I'd like to invite a contributor to our BIM 360 Project.
00:19
I can invite anybody I'd like, then assign them permissions to see only the specific data I want them to see.
00:26
Jump into your favorite internet browser, then go to your hub.
00:35
I'm going to go to BIM 360 Account Admin.
00:43
I'm going to change my account and make sure I'm on my CNS account.
00:49
Now, before I go to my project, I want to add a company. So I'll go to Companies.
00:58
I have a few companies here, but I'm gonna click Add.
01:03
Company Name, I'm gonna call it Autodesk.
01:09
Trade or Company Type, there's a lot, so I'll just pick the top.
01:15
I don't need to fill out any of these company items.
01:20
So, I'll click Save.
01:25
Autodesk is there.
01:28
Now I'm going to go back to Projects.
01:32
I'll go to my Autodesk Mixed Use Community.
01:37
I'm going to add a Project Member.
01:42
I'm going to paste email Address of Michelle Rasmussen at Autodesk.
01:49
Now, once you paste it in or type it in, hit Enter, that way it selects it.
01:54
Now we can click the Select button.
01:58
Once she accepts, her name will show up here.
02:02
For the company, she's at Autodesk.
02:05
And the Role, she's a Civil Engineer.
02:09
Now we can assign her actual roles.
02:13
If we uncheck something, it's going to say we need to assign them something.
02:16
So, I'm gonna click on these items here to give Michelle access to most of the items other than Project Admin.
02:28
Now, once we have her in here, we have a roles all set, we can click Add to Project.
02:35
There she is.
02:36
It knows who she is.
02:38
We're good to go.
02:39
Now what I'd like to do is click on my 9-dot item.
02:44
I want to go to Document Management.
02:47
Autodesk gives us a couple of folders to begin with.
02:49
If we click on the Project Files, let's click on the builder button.
02:55
I want to add a subfolder.
02:59
I want to call this Site Civil.
03:03
Now again just click the Finish Check and here we go.
03:09
Now, if we right click on Site Civil, let's go down to Permissions.
03:19
Click Add, Add New, we'll say Michelle Rasmussen, we'll click on her.
03:31
Sorry, we'll click on Michelle, we can click off of it, set a Permission.
03:39
I want her to have folder control.
03:43
Click Add.
03:45
What's gonna happen is she'll have access to this folder and this folder only.
03:50
If I make a bunch of different folders for architects, engineers, she won't have access to those folders.
03:56
So, I could just kind of close out of here.
03:59
Now, if I screw something up, I can simply blame Michelle.
