If you're an admin on a production,
00:10
you'll have the ability to add new users into your list
00:13
of contacts who can then be assigned to folders or teams.
00:17
There are multiple ways to do so. So we'll start with the two most common.
00:22
At the bottom of the contacts column,
00:24
you'll notice two buttons: new contact and import CSV.
00:29
If you wish to add a single new contact, just click the new contact button,
00:34
enter their first name, last name, and email address
00:37
and then click Add,
00:39
that's it.
00:39
That person will then be added to your contacts.
00:44
If you want to add a number of contacts all at once, you can do so by importing a CSV file.
00:50
To do so, first click the import CSV button
00:54
and then either drag and drop or browse to the CSV file that has your contacts listed.
01:01
Note that the CSV file must include three columns and three columns only:
01:06
first name,
01:08
last name,
01:09
and email address.
01:11
Also be sure to save your file in CSV file before upload.
01:18
It's important to note that when adding users via the contacts column,
01:21
all you're doing is adding them into your list of contacts.
01:25
They won't have any access or permissions by default nor will
01:28
they get an invitation to join the Flow Capture platform.
01:33
In order for their account invitation to be sent,
01:36
they'll need to be added to at least one
01:38
folder, at which point it will be sent automatically.
01:41
For more on this, have a look at our account creation invitation tutorial.
01:50
There are two other ways to add new contacts.
01:53
If you have a number of users who you wish
01:55
to add to the platform and to an existing team,
01:58
you can do so by using the import CSV button in the teams column.
02:03
First select the team
02:04
you wish to add the new users to, then click the Import CSV button.
02:09
Like before, you'll want to upload a CSV with the same three columns,:first name,
02:14
last name, and email address.
02:16
Once you upload this file,
02:18
all users will be added to your production and added to the team that you selected.
02:25
It's important to note that if this team has already been assigned to folders,
02:29
uploading new contacts to this team will also grant them that same access.
02:35
So it's important to ensure that you're uploading to the correct team
02:39
with this workflow.
02:40
Any brand new users that are added to a team that
02:44
is already assigned to folders will receive an account invitation email.
02:49
The last way to add a contact is to do so
02:51
directly into a folder by clicking the add contact button at
02:55
the bottom of the participants column.
02:58
When doing so, you'll be asked to provide the first name,
03:01
last name, and email address.
03:03
And we'll also have the option to label them with a role
03:07
or change their default permission.
03:11
If you add someone by this method,
03:13
the user will automatically receive an account invitation as they've
03:16
been granted access to a folder on the production.
