All permission management and folder access on Flow Capture is self directed,
00:14
which means that those with admin privileges will have full control
00:17
over who on your team has access to which assets and folders.
00:22
You'll also be able to control the type of access your
00:24
team members have all on a granular folder by folder basis.
00:29
If you're in charge of managing access and permissions,
00:32
it's important to know your way around the manage teams
00:35
panel, as this will be your primary tool
00:38
to do so.
00:39
We'll go over all of the functionality of this panel in other tutorials.
00:43
But first, we'll take you on a tour of the user interface.
00:47
On the lefthand side, you'll see all of your contacts listed in alphabetical order.
00:52
Note that you can view all contacts within the selected production,
00:56
or if you're an admin on multiple productions, you can switch to viewing all.
01:03
You can also search by name or email to
01:05
bring up an individual whose permissions you wish to match.
01:11
The buttons at the bottom of this column allow you to
01:13
add new contacts either individually or by importing a CSV.
01:20
You can also click Assign Contact to assign
01:22
the selected contact to the folder or production
01:25
you have selected. In the middle
01:27
to the right of this is the teams column.
01:30
Teams allow you to add users in bulk to a folder all with the same permission set.
01:35
They can also be used as distribution lists for sending playlinks,
01:39
allowing you to send cuts to groups of users more efficiently.
01:43
At the bottom, you'll see similar buttons to the contacts column.
01:47
You can add a new team,
01:49
import a CSV,
01:51
or assign the team to a folder or production.
01:55
You can also edit an existing team by clicking the edit team button.
01:60
In the middle, you'll see the name of a production
02:03
and the name of a folder.
02:04
And you can switch between the two depending on
02:06
the level that you want to make assignments at.
02:09
If you want to change to a different folder, simply click the drop down at the top
02:15
and select a new destination.
02:19
The participants column gives you a detailed
02:21
list of everyone with access to the production
02:24
or folder selected.
02:26
And it also allows you to search for a specific user
02:30
towards the bottom of this column.
02:32
You'll also notice a list of all the teams that have been added to this
02:35
folder as well as the ability to add a new contact directly to this folder.
02:41
At the top, you'll also notice a playlink tab.
02:44
This tab will show you all users who have been sent a playlink from this folder,
02:49
as opposed to the participants tab,
02:51
which shows you who has permanent access to the folder selected.
02:55
If you wish,
02:56
you can change a user from being just
02:58
a playlink recipient to a full folder participant,
03:01
granting them permanent access to all assets within that folder.
03:07
Lastly, we have the participant details column.
03:10
Once you select a user from the participants column,
03:13
you'll be shown detailed info about the specific
03:15
permission set that user has for the folder
03:17
in question.
03:20
It also allows you to change that permission set to
03:22
whatever you'd like, based on your specific use case.
03:28
The roles drop down also gives you the option to add a label to that specific user,
03:35
so you can keep track of who does what on your project.
03:39
Note that the role is just a label and doesn't impact access or permissions.
03:44
Now that you know your way around,
03:46
you can dive into the other tutorials to learn all of the functionality found within
03:50
the managed teams panel in order to add, assign, and manage your participants' access.
