When you have a folder open on the assets tab,
00:11
you'll have the flexibility of sorting your assets
00:13
within your batches by two different parameters:
00:17
name
00:18
or date of upload.
00:20
To change from one sort parameter to another,
00:22
simply click on the existing sort parameter in the upper right hand corner.
00:27
For example, if the assets are currently sorted by name, it will display name.
00:32
Clicking here will change the sorting to uploaded,
00:35
meaning the date of the upload itself.
00:38
Clicking here again will change it back to being sorted by name.
00:42
Next to this, you'll see either an up arrow or a down arrow
00:46
indicating that the assets are sorted in either ascending or descending
00:50
order, based on the parameter to the left of it.
00:54
For example, our assets here are sorted by name in descending order.
00:59
Clicking the arrow will change this to have our assets sorted by name,
01:03
in ascending order.
01:06
Note that the sort options in the upper right hand
01:09
corner are for sorting the assets within the batches themselves.
01:14
If you'd like to change the sorting options for the batches themselves,
01:18
in the upper left corner, you'll also see either an up arrow or a down arrow.
01:24
This will put the batches in either ascending or descending order, alphabetically.
01:31
Note that regardless of your sorting options for the batches,
01:34
your sub folders will always appear at the top.
01:38
You can also re-sort all of your assets into batches based
01:41
on a wide variety of parameters to suit your current needs.
01:45
This is covered more in depth in our batches tutorial,
01:49
but essentially batches offer you flexibility to reorganize all
01:53
assets within the folder based off of various metadata fields
01:57
such as scene,
01:58
episode,
01:60
camera,
02:01
and more.
