In this tutorial, we'll introduce you to the Flow Capture Assets tab
00:12
and highlight the location of key features and functionalities.
00:16
Each of these functions will be explained in detail in other tutorials,
00:20
so this is simply a tour of the Assets tab, to be sure you know your way around.
00:24
The assets tab has been designed to be your organizational hub within Flow Capture,
00:29
helping you streamline your workflows and enhance your collaboration experience.
00:34
Within the assets tab, there are five areas to make note of:
00:37
the top bar,
00:40
the folder browser,
00:43
the asset viewer,
00:44
the information and settings panel,
00:47
and the persistent player, which we'll see in a moment.
00:50
Starting with the top bar,
00:52
on the left side is the navigation block that
00:54
lets you fix the Assets tab to always be open
00:57
or to set it back, to allow you to navigate elsewhere.
01:02
On the right side,
01:03
you can check your connectivity status to get
01:05
insights into your playback capabilities on Flow Capture.
01:09
You'll also find our help button, which contains
01:12
our full searchable knowledge base and gives you
01:14
the ability to reach out to our support team without having to leave the app.
01:20
Next is the folder browser on the left,
01:23
which lets you navigate through all of the groups,
01:25
productions, and folders that you've been added to.
01:29
The folder system is similar to what can be found in the Mac Os Finder or Explorer
01:34
in Windows and allows you to search globally across
01:37
all productions and folders you have access to,
01:39
to easily find and work with your assets.
01:43
Anything that's listed here can be selected and will
01:46
affect what's displayed in the center viewer path.
01:49
Choosing the production for instance, will show you all the top level folders in it
01:54
and the information panel will give you details about the production.
01:58
You can also hide the folder browser by clicking on the folder icon at the top,
02:04
giving you more screen space to work.
02:07
Speaking of the information panel, it can be found on the right-hand side.
02:11
It can be expanded to allow you to view or change what you need
02:15
and then collapsed to provide more real estate for the center asset viewer.
02:20
Your folder and production settings can also be
02:23
found in this panel and will change based on
02:25
your permission set as well as what you have selected on the left or in the middle.
02:31
The asset viewer takes center stage occupying the entire center panel.
02:36
If we select a folder on the left,
02:38
thumbnails
02:39
for all the assets uploaded to this folder will be
02:41
displayed as well as any sub folders found within it.
02:46
Each asset comes with a menu of additional
02:48
options accessible through a vertically aligned ellipses,
02:52
and it will change depending on your permission.
02:56
You'll also notice a number of icons at the top
02:60
which will change depending on your permissions.
03:03
You can search for assets or folders,
03:05
change your desktop view,
03:07
access the upload panel,
03:09
add new folders,
03:11
and sort and filter your folders, batches, and assets.
03:15
You'll also see the folder path for the selected folder along the top.
03:20
Clicking on an asset thumbnail opens up our persistent player, allowing you
03:25
to review and comment assets seamlessly without leaving the assets page.
03:30
We'll cover all of the features of the persistent player in another tutorial.
03:35
To return to the main assets tab window,
03:38
just click the X in the upper right-hand corner and you'll be back in your folder.
03:44
You know your way around now.
