Rooms allow users to collaborate in real time by viewing content
00:12
that lives on the platform in a video conferencing environment.
00:16
In this tutorial,
00:17
we'll give you an overview of the user interface inside of a room, so that
00:21
you know your way around, and dive into
00:23
the features and functionality in more detail
00:25
in future tutorials.
00:28
Once inside a room,
00:29
you'll see thumbnails of each of the assets that have been added on the left.
00:34
Above these thumbnails,
00:35
you'll see icons that allow you to view the playlists that have been
00:38
added or any live streams that have been added to the room as well.
00:42
In the middle is the player which shows the asset that's selected on the left.
00:47
The transport controls along the bottom are the exact same as when
00:50
viewing an asset in a playlink or inside of a folder.
00:54
To the right of the player, you'll see either an icon representing each participant
00:59
or, if they have their camera turned on, a live video from wherever they are.
01:06
Here,
01:06
you can also change the view of the participants list, switching from gallery,
01:11
speaker,
01:12
or list.
01:15
If you're a host of the room,
01:16
you'll also see the syncing options drop down and the manage participants button,
01:20
which allows you to add or remove users.
01:24
On the very right hand side,
01:26
you'll see a number of rooms options, which will
01:28
vary depending on whether or not you're a host.
01:31
These may include the text chat option,
01:33
the comments section,
01:36
export comment section, and the same audio video
01:38
options found on the room's admin page.
01:42
Lastly,
01:42
the bar along the top has your camera and microphone options,
01:46
allowing you to toggle either of them on or off.
01:49
And in the upper left hand corner,
01:51
you have the ability to leave the room.
01:54
Now that you're familiar with where everything is,
01:56
we'll dive into each of the features in the tutorials that follow.
