Once you've linked our Connect app to your room,
00:11
your next step is to add and configure your stream sources.
00:14
To do so, first click on the name of the room you'll be streaming into,
00:18
then click add stream.
00:21
Once you do, the app will display all current stream
00:24
sources available, as well as the type of stream source
00:27
in the upper right hand corner.
00:30
You can then filter your stream sources by type using the sources filter.
00:34
There are four stream source types that can be used in conjunction with Connect:
00:38
displays,
00:40
windows, NDI,
00:42
and DeckLink.
00:44
Display and windows source types allow you to stream
00:47
whatever is being displayed on your local workstation,
00:49
much like a screen share.
00:51
Note that when streaming these source types,
00:53
only video will be shared without any audio.
00:57
NDI allows you to stream a source from your local network,
01:00
whereas DeckLink allows you to stream the input of
01:03
a Black Magic and DeckLink capture device connected locally.
01:07
These two stream source types
01:09
can be considered direct feeds,
01:11
meaning both audio and video will be streamed into your room.
01:16
Once you've selected your stream source,
01:18
click add stream at the bottom.
01:22
Now that it appears in your list of sources,
01:24
clicking on it will bring up configuration settings
01:27
that can be adjusted to suit your needs.
01:30
You can change the streaming resolution or bitrate,
01:33
adjust the audio reference level, set
01:35
an audio offset to account for any latency, set your local audio
01:39
device for monitoring, or apply a color profile to your streaming asset.
01:45
If you've added the wrong stream source or you just want to remove it,
01:48
you can also delete this asset from this configuration.
01:53
Note that you can add as many stream sources as you like
01:56
and you'll be able to switch between all of them once inside the room,
01:59
much like switching between fixed assets.
02:04
Now that your stream source has been added and is configured,
02:07
your next step is to go live, which we'll cover in the next tutorial.
