Transcript
00:01
This is a practice exercise video solution.
00:07
We're going to get started with the supply data set, form plate - PE.F3D.
00:12
We want to navigate to the manufacturer workspace and make sure that our units are set to inch.
00:19
We want to create a new setup.
00:22
We want to make sure that the coordinate system or the WCS is oriented, so that Z is pointing up,
00:29
and we're going to leave it at the center of the part.
00:32
We're going to modify the stock, so that there's no offset in any direction.
00:36
And we're going to say ‘okay’.
00:39
Next, we're going to create a 3D adaptive clearing operation.
00:43
We want to use the half-inch flat end mill.
00:45
You can look in the Fusion 360 library or any library that you want to use.
00:50
If you're searching through the samples, we’re going to filter by milling, flat end mill and select the half inch flat end mill.
00:56
You also want to make sure that the cutting data that's used is for aluminium roughing.
01:02
Next in the geometry section, we will allow it to use the stock contours but deselect rest machining.
01:08
We can make any changes that we want to the passes or the heights,
01:12
making sure that our maximum roughing step down value is applicable for the tool that we're using.
01:18
In this case, we will have to reduce it based on the flute length of our tool, and then say ‘okay’.
01:25
We will allow to create the 3D adaptive operation.
01:30
If we want to, we can rotate around and preview the stock removal.
01:34
And once we're done, let's go back to our Home view and make sure that we save the design.
