This is a practice exercise video solution.
00:07
For this practice, we're going to start with rough and finish–pe.f3d,
00:11
and make sure that we're in the Manufacture workspace and that we do have a Setup 1.
00:16
We're gonna start by using Turning Face and we're going to go to our Tool Library, Fusion 360 Library,
00:22
and we're going to select the right hand tool that can be used for this operation.
00:27
Using all the default settings, we’ll go ahead and okay the operation.
00:31
I'm going to view this from the top and then I'm going to create a Turning Profile Roughing.
00:37
Using all the default settings and the same tool, I’m going to say OK.
00:41
Noticing that the toolpath doesn't extend pass the end of the part, so we do want to make one adjustment.
00:47
In the Geometry section, we're going to extend this at a distance of a 0.25" off the back side.
00:53
Next we're going to create a turning profile finishing.
00:57
This will require us to use a different tool.
00:59
So once again in the Fusion 360 Sample Library, we're going to go ahead and select the proper right hand tool,
01:06
which is going to be the last one in our list and we'll select and say OK using all the standard settings.
01:13
Now we've been able to face, rough and finish the outside of this part,
01:17
notice that we do have a warning and this is telling us that the Lead-Out has been modified.
01:22
So if we want to get rid of this warning, we can make some adjustments to this toolpath to modify the Lead-Out.
01:27
But in this case, I'm going to say OK because I know I've extended the roughing toolpath.
01:32
So from here, I'm going to go back to a home view and make sure that I save this before moving on.
