In this video, we'll finish setup 2 toolpaths.
00:06
After completing this step, you'll be able to create a 2D adaptive toolpath and create a contour.
00:13
In Fusion 360, we want to carry on with our CAD/CAM Milling dataset 1.
00:18
At this point we're starting fresh from OP2 we need to clear out the inside of the part as well as finish off the outside.
00:26
We're going to do that by going to 2D. And selecting
00:30
We need to select our tool and I want to make sure that I'm using the tools in the document because they've already been assigned tool numbers.
00:37
If I were to go back and select them from my cloud library, they might have different tool numbers based on the order in which I use them.
00:44
So let's go ahead and select tool number one, our
00:48
And for our geometry we're going to select this inside pocket and then we want to make sure that we adjust all our settings as needed.
00:58
I'm not going to worry about any stock contours or rest machining because this is going to be my first operation
01:04
but I do want to make sure that I'm aware we're leaving stock on the walls and the floor.
01:09
So I'm going to say okay noting that it's creating an adaptive clearing toolpath but we still need to go back and finish off the inside.
01:18
Now that we've created the adaptive clearing. I'm going to use a 2D contour with the same tool along this edge.
01:25
But I also want to be mindful that we've already machined passed this edge from the other side,
01:30
so making sure that we're not leaving any stock behind.
01:33
We're going to say, okay, and allow it to create that 2D contour.
01:37
At this point, we can't see if all the stock has been removed
01:40
and that's something that we're going to have to use simulation for by selecting all the setups inside of this design.
01:47
The last thing that we need to do to finish off the outside of the part is to use a 2D contour and we can select this edge.
01:55
From the heights we're using the selected contour, but I want to take it down a small amount negative
02:01
making sure that we're going all the way past the bottom.
02:05
For our passes, I'm going to do this with a single roughing pass because we removed a small amount of material from the other side.
02:13
I'm going to come in, make that small cut before I go through and remove the final pass.
02:19
Going to say, okay, allow it to create my roughing and my finishing pass
02:23
because we're removing just a small amount of material, it's possible to do this in a single pass.
02:28
But depending on your requirements in your criteria,
02:32
you might want to make sure that you have additional finishing passes to finish off these critical areas.
02:39
At this point, we've machined all of the features on the part from both sides. It's a great time for us to save before moving on.
