In this exercise, you'll practice how to create a 2D Adaptive Clearing toolpath.

For this practice in Fusion 360, will get started with the design slot clearing.

In the manufacture workspace, there's already a setup created. So we'll begin by going to 2D adaptive clearing.

For the tools inside of this document in setup 1,

we want to make sure that we use a 12 mm flat end mill.

If there isn't one in the design, you can go to the Fusion 360 library, filter by flat end mill and take a look for a metric tool.

That's a 12 mm flat end mill.

We're going to use it for aluminum roughing and select.

The geometry tab, we want to select the bottom face of our slot.

In the past this tab, we're going to use the slot clearing option and deselect stock to leave.

We'll say okay and preview the stock removal.

Once we've created the tool path, let's make sure that we save before moving on.
