Simulation reports.
00:05
In this video, we'll create a simulation report.
00:09
In Fusion 360, we want to carry on with our motorcycle rear set.
00:13
At this point, we've explored a handful of the results tools, taking a look at the min and max values of surface and point probes,
00:21
creating a slice plane and even taking a look at comparing multiple simulation models.
00:26
But now we want to go to our results tools dropdown and we want to focus on creating a report.
00:31
When we select report, there are a handful of options that we can customize.
00:36
For example, we have a general section which allows us to alter the report title, the author, the logo that's going to be used and even add a summary.
00:45
We also have the option at the bottom allowing dynamic content in this case creating embedded web pages using javascript.
00:52
If we change this option, we won't be able to dynamically change some of the elements on the report.
00:58
On the left hand side under properties, you'll note that we have the title of studies and the author.
01:05
We can add or remove additional properties, remove them, reset them if needed,
01:10
and then under the studies, we can determine which studies we want to include.
01:14
Note that this is at the simulation model level followed by the study level and then individual load cases.
01:21
For the purposes of this example, we're going to select all three studies if you solve them all.
01:26
If not then select only the frame mount the study one and load case one.
01:31
From here, we can either preview this or directly save it.
01:34
It's always a good idea for us to preview this to make sure that it has all the information we need.
01:41
Once the preview is opened, it will display inside of your web browser.
01:45
You'll notice that at the very top, we have image widths and it allows us to determine the size of the images that we want to use.
01:52
We have Fit Width and also Original.
01:54
I'm going to use Fit Width and as we scroll down, you can see information about the project, the studies that are used.
02:01
We even have the option to minimize these.
02:04
As we're taking a look at these, you'll see all the information about the materials that are used.
02:09
In this case, we did not use remove rigid body modes and there is no initial dampening that was added based on that option.
02:17
You can see information about the mesh.
02:19
We didn't use adaptive mesh refinement.
02:22
We have material properties, we have contact sets if they were used and then we have our mesh.
02:28
From there, we move into our load cases.
02:30
Because we only have one, it's going to show all the information about the constraints, the selected entities for those constraints,
02:38
the selected entities for the pins that were used and then our loads that were applied.
02:44
After we have all the loads and constraints, it moves on to our results summaries.
02:48
It gives a table giving us the safety factor.
02:51
It gives us a stress values, the reaction forces, strain and then as we go down, we can see plots of each of these.
02:58
Once again, we have the available option to minimize these and include them in the report at various sizes.
03:09
Once we're happy with the preview of the report, we can move back into Fusion 360 and we can save the report.
03:15
If we select Save, we will need to determine a location to save the study.
03:19
This will be locally and you see here that it's going to be an html web page.
03:24
I'm going to go ahead and save this in my local temp folder,
03:30
and once it opens, it will be identical to the preview because we didn't change any of our settings.
03:35
So creating simulation reports, in Fusion 360 is extremely easy and quick,
03:39
capturing all the data that was used in the setup of the simulation study as well as all the plots.
03:47
Back in Fusion 360, let's make sure that we do have a save design and I'm going to finish my results and then we can move on to the next step.
